23.01.2022 Kindy is in need of card for our Christmas masks. If you have any large cereal boxes, could you drop them off to kindy? If you have the time, cut up into usable panels would be great, however it's not essential
23.01.2022 Resin applied to our log rounds. They look amazing! This year the children learned about suction. Applying the smooth round to thick paint poured onto a table, then pulling the log upwards to create a suction pattern! These will be exhibited as part of our 2020 SALA art exhibition.
23.01.2022 Comment on this post and I will include you in our purchasing list. Only orders will be taken to secure book. You will not be able to purchase book without putting in an order. Thank you.
21.01.2022 A huge thank you to this group of kindy volunteers! Arrived this morning, set up all six beds, filled them up, all before lunch! I know others wanted to help too, but they just went so quickly it was completed in no time! A special thank you again to Jenai Jackson photography for working so hard to purchase the beds, and to Elizabeth Backpackers Hostel for manual labour. The children are going to love exploring this space

We learned that the front legs are shorter than the back legs, they have an exoskeleton, antenna, and have over 30 legs. They are also mostly blind as they spend most of their time underground. Children have been practicing how to draw scientific drawings as well as how to make 3D representations using loose parts.

15.01.2022 Check out our new tank! This was funded through a heritage building grant. It helps to relocate water away from stonework. Builders have also replaced and fixed old underground drain pipes and are in the process of treating the building for rising damp. Later, stonework will be rendered and old fascia painted. With the help of a past kindy parent, irrigation has been installed in veggie beds as well. Once all front yard work is complete, we are hoping to have our edible community garden up and running for use .

14.01.2022 Short video discussing part of our learning processes involved in our Arts in Learning Program. The last few weeks children have been illustrators in creating a mixed media collage art piece. This week we will look closely at editing our words, making changes, adding details... Through this process children will be able to think through past learning to adapt and modify. They will have a deeper understanding of how stories and books are created and will get a taste of editing. Over the coming weeks, educators will increase word knowledge of animals - this will no doubt be a learning together moment as we explore Aboriginal words. Please contact us if you can offer assistance, we would love to hear from you!
