Bio Stephen has 30 years’ experience in urban and infrastructure planning, across all spheres of government and in the private sector. As the Executive Director, Planning at Infrastructure Australia (IA), he has been responsible for overseeing IA’s work on the Australian Infrastructure Audit and contributing to the Australian Infrastructure Plan released in February 2016. Stephen was the author of IA’s recent paper which makes the case for governments to reform their approach to the protection of corridors for future infrastructure. At IA, Stephen has also been responsible for managing the assessment of major project proposals, reporting to the Council of Australian Governments, and a range of policy-related work, particularly on infrastructure funding, and integrated land use and planning strategies. Stephen is currently chairing an International Transport Forum Working Group on private investment in transport.
