21.01.2022 After careful consideration of all the available information, and reviewing all aspects of the event organisation, we've decided to cancel the Herald Sun/Transurban Run for The Kids on Sunday March 29 While we appreciate this will be a disappointing decision for our entrants, it's critical to minimise the risk of public exposure to COVID-19. Our priority is the health and safety of our entrants, volunteers, staff and the broader public. Registered entrants and team managers will be contacted directly with further information early next week.

20.01.2022 Happy Long Weekend everyone! For those who have a day off from work tomorrow - you have extra time to recover from today's Sunday long run to finish off Week 7's program - so no excuses! Our advice - get today's training out of the way early, and get back in time to watch the Southern Stars in the ICC World T20 final!... Then kick off Week 8 tomorrow with a sleep in and a rest day from training....

20.01.2022 Today marked the beginning of Virtual R4K. A big THANKYOU to everyone who has already taken on the challenge to complete their event. We have received some fabulous photographs today, and are delighted to see smiling faces in many of them. We are also grateful to you all for your continued support of the Good Friday Appeal in these unusual times.... We look forward to receiving more results and photographs over coming weeks, and promise we will begin to dispatch Finisher's medals as soon as we can. Stay safe and happy running! .

Event cancellation information, can be found online at runforthekids.com.au Please stay safe and well, and we look forward to seeing you all in 2021.

15.01.2022 Interim Virtual R4K results are now live online. http://www.runforthekids.com.au/course-deta/virtualresults/ Results will remain interim until the Virtual R4K of April 30.... We have collated as many results as possible so far, and will be adding to them as more results become available. If you have a result that isn't shown here, please email a screen shot of your time to [email protected] and we'll add you to the list. Please ensure your screenshot includes both your distance completed and your time. Remember, you don't have to have a recorded time to be eligible to receive a finisher's medal. As long as we can identify that you have completed a Virtual R4K event, you will still receive a finisher's medal.

06.01.2022 We hope you weren't all thinking that the unfortunate news about the event date gave you an excuse to stop training!? On the contrary - after working so hard for the past eight weeks, we definitely encourage you to continue for the last two weeks of the program - so here is Week 9! If you have entered Run for the Kids, expect an email from us in coming days about next steps in relation to your registration - but in the meantime - get out and run!

04.01.2022 Congratulations to our Fifteen and Fabulous entrants. These special entrants, along with many others that we don't have photographs of yet, have completed all fifteen Herald Sun/Transurban Run for the Kids events. We thank them for their generous support of Good Friday Appeal since 2006.... We love that holding a Virtual event has meant that furry friends could participate in Run for the Kids for the very first time!

02.01.2022 We are loving all the photos and stories behind Virtual R4K. Today we've heard from runners on treadmills in isolation, from Andrew who completed his Virtual R4K in Brisbane and from Robert in British Columbia, Canada who has completed his 15km event, so one of our Finisher's medals will be winging its way there soon.
