21.01.2022 Happy New Year and affordable but safe flying for all...Sad but I'm working today, as I have over most of Christmas..hopefully if I get the Feb magazine to bed early I'll get a break in January. Travel plans for 2019. Perth? I'll finally be there in February. South Oz...Late Jan, before Perth. Then the year will roll on. I keep saying this is a members magazine so send me your story ideas, events and for the flying schools your solos and other milestones of our students...Inspiration comes from those who do to those who want to....

15.01.2022 While many of my friends are already Antiquers some aren't. Sit back and enjoy this superb production by Tim Brownridge.

14.01.2022 The TL-Ultralight Stream is certified for 600 Kg LSA and now available in Australia. Built using Kevlar and the latest technology nothing comes near it. #Stream #TLstream #LSA #lightsport #fastaircraft #tandemseat

08.01.2022 Working up a yarn about this gorgeous aeroplane.

08.01.2022 Heading home after a successful trip, meeting members and finding stories. Each of these aeroplanes is registered with RAAus. It proves we are a broad church of types, interests and budgets. It continues to show anyone can fly if they put their mind too it.

08.01.2022 It's Avalon again and RAAus held it's annual member forum. There was a good attendance. Look out for a summary of what was said on the Sport Pilot website in the next few days,

07.01.2022 Todays subject that will grace the pages of Australian Sport Pilot..The Hornet, a one off homebuilt...If your job entails working weekends you might as well enjoy it...

06.01.2022 It's March 1st which means Australian Sport Pilot is done and dusted for another month, with March at the printers. A word of warning and I apologise in advance. The print issue will be slightly late due to having to cancel a trip to Queensland due to the bad weather up there. But it'll be worth the wait. Thanks as always to my wife Michelle Smith Pountney, the designer who keeps me on track Melinda Vassallo and the contributors who want to share their stories. RAAus is a community of passionate enthusiasts. Lets keep it that way.

04.01.2022 Time flies so quickly....July is on it's way to the printers so here's the cover...Lots of good reading. A big thanks to Melinda Vassallo, Michelle Smith Pountney, Andrew Carter and the rest of the enthusiasts who breath life into our magazine.

01.01.2022 The latest magazine is off to the printer...I found some old pics so I thought I'd share. They are from Mangalore Airshow in 1998. The first one is Michelle, the deputy editor of Australian Sport Pilot. In this pic she was a newly ordained PPL. Yes it's a VH registered aeroplane. But she loves to fly. The other is of me. God i wish i was that thin now. VH-HVU was the first aeroplane I owned...
