Let's hold on to this incredible energy and bring it down into our lives. We want to pledge 18000 acts of kindness, to translate the energy that we created tonight into a practical force for good. And we can even help provide you with the materials you need to fulfill your pledge. Go to https://www.18for18.com.au/acts-of-kindness Register your Mitzvah now!

20.01.2022 JOINT STATEMENT BY RCANZ, RCNSW and RCV 30 March 2020 During these challenging times and having regard to the most recent announcement of the Prime Minister dated 29/03/2020 we wish to reiterate a number of core priorities and to reinforce the Halachic mandate of these priorities:... 1) Continue to strictly adhere to the health guidelines issued by the Department of Health and Human Services and the Prime Minister including social distancing (no minyanim indoors or outdoors, avoid gathering of more than two people, stay home except to shop for essentials, medical purposes, exercise, work or education if these cannot be done remotely) and continuing to wash one's hands regularly. 2) Help others who are struggling financially, physically, emotionally or psychologically. This can be achieved by reaching out to those who need emotional support or contributing money to any of the fundraising initiatives, free loans, food drives and essential product collections which have been established across the community such as the Jewish Care hotline and others. Try to support Kosher eateries via their delivery or take away facilities. Should members of the community seek guidance as to which initiatives have been established please contact your local rabbi or other communal leader. 3) Commit to an extra mitzvah or increased prayer and be particularly vigilant to engender a stronger sense of Ahavat Yisrael within the community.

01.01.2022 Statement of the Rabbinical Council of NSW. "As has been widely publicized, the Australian Government is urging all Australians to download the Covid-19 Safe app which is tremendously efficacious in speeding up contacting people exposed to Covid-19. This reduces the chances of you passing on the virus to your family, friends and other people in the community. In the spirit of the Mitsva of do not stand idly by while your fellow’s blood is shed, the RCNSW urges all members of the NSW Jewish Community to download without hesitation this app which could result in countless lives being saved Our sages teach that one who preserves one human life it is as though he or she has saved the whole world. May the healer of all flesh send an immediate cure for this terrible epidemic to the entirety of mankind!"
