23.01.2022 Many new mums are concerned they arent making enough milk for their babies. This may cause anxiety especially in the early days if your baby cries after feeding. The best way of knowing whether your baby is getting enough milk is to look at his nappies and body language after feeds. Look out for: 6-8 wet cloth nappies or 5 wet disposables in 24 hours Poos every day if younger than 6-8 weeks old Soft poos if older... Times of alertness, mostly happy after and between feeds. If your baby is losing weight after their first week of birth, you may be advised to give extra milk. You can do this by giving extra breastfeeds or by giving your baby breastmilk that you've expressed. If you would like to speak with one of our Doctors for breastfeeding advice please book an appointment online or give us a on (07) 3268 1395

21.01.2022 As of July 1st 2020, Ozempic will be listed on the PBS as a new treatment option available for type 2 diabetes patients. Ozempic is a once per week treatment to lower blood sugar in patients with insufficiently managed type 2 diabetes. Patients would pay more than $1,700 per course of Ozempic without this subsidy. They will now pay $41 per script or $6.60 with a concession card. Type 2 diabetes accounts for over 50% of all diabetes-related deaths in Australia. Weight gain..., a poor diet and a lack of physical activity increases the risk of being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
