18.01.2022 Ive overcome a lot of things since starting Rachael Mack Hair, but with no government assistance, ever changing regulations & all small businesses suffering, I simply cannot overcome corona virus. As most of you may know, Ive suffered some crappy health & then business blows in the last few months. Wont go in to every detail, but the reason for this post is that after much consideration, and a little help from the beautiful humans around me, this amongst other things, has ...meant I need to reconsider my future business plans. I will be downsizing by moving to a smaller, freelancing collective studio called Freedom Suites, 392 Logan Road, Stones Corner (little further up Logan Road!). A private hairdressing studio that I think youre all going to love! Comfy chairs, easy parking & the most beautiful interior design youve ever seen! I had every intention to stay put but sometimes you just cant dodge the curveballs, although a few months ago I had very different intentions for my businesses future, last year taught me to accept that as much as I love working, my craft and all of my incredible clients...physical and emotional health need to come first sometimes. Thank you for understanding, for supporting my little business and I cant wait to see you in my new studio. 16.01.2022 Wrapping up my third Christmas at Rachael Mack Hair and thirteenth year of doing what I love most. Time flies when you have clients like mine. Thank you so much for helping me to keep my little salon as busy as it is and for all of your referrals, reviews, understanding, patience, wine and flowers during my eventful 2019. To all of you, whether youve been with me since my apprenticeship or just this year - THANK YOU! I quite literally could not do it without you. 15.01.2022 PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING As I'm sure you are all aware, the latest news of more active local cases in Queensland means it is my responsibility and yours to adjust the way we operate. I have had a Covid 19 plan in place since re-opening, and have only recently started allowing more than one booking at a time. I will be re-implementing this policy from next week, and only seeing on client as often as possible, so please bear with me if changes need to be made to your next book...ing. - If you have ANY flu like symptoms, have travelled overseas, interstate, were on flights VA863 from Melbourne to Sydney or VA977 from Sydney to Brisbane on July 21, attended any of the following locations from July 23, or been in close contact with someone who has, please reschedule your appointment. Parklands Christian College, Park Ridge Grand Plaza Shopping Centre, Browns Plains Logan Central Plaza, Logan Central Madtongsan Restaurant, Sunnybank Heeretea, Sunnybank YMCA Chatswood Hills OSHC, Springwood Primary Medical and Dental, Browns Plains Thai Peak Restaurant, Springfield Cowch Dessert Bar, Southbank African Grocery Shop, Woodridge Chatime Grand Plaza, Browns Plains - Only the client on the booking is permitted to enter the salon. Please do not bring any extra people to your booking, unless previously arranged, including children. - Please do NOT arrive more than 5-10 minutes before your appointment time. I also may have to cut down booking time for any late arrivals. This is to ensure social distancing & correct infection control procedures can be followed between clients. - I have been and will continue to provide hand sanitiser before, during and after your appointment. As well as extra precautions with the services of beverages. I do encourage you to bring your own drinks. - All surfaces and equipment are thoroughly disinfected before and after each client. Towels and capes are single use only. - EFTPOS payments/electronic transfers are encouraged. Cash is accepted but I will not be issuing change. 13.01.2022 PSA - Coronavirus (cant believe Im posting this) More than 15% of Australian businesses have been negatively affected by this bizarre Coronavirus scare. For the sake of our economy, and especially small, local business - PLEASE dont stop living your life. While Kleenex and Purell are raking it in, the rest of us may not be. Educate yourself on the facts, make sure the news that you are reading in to is factual. More people have died of mosquito bites and influenza this year. Wash your hands, cover your sneezes and coughs, do literally everything you would do if you had any other virus symptoms. Im not sick, you wont be catching Covid19 at the basin so, please dont cancel your appointments/online orders/dinner dates etc at the last minute.

12.01.2022 Just a quick post to firstly thank you all so much for your patience over the last 6 weeks, it has been so very tough for me trying to work out exactly what the right thing to do is. And also for your understanding whilst I navigate this mobile service situation (it's much less simple than I anticipated!!!). Please understand that I WILL get back to your messages as soon as possible (even if it takes a few days). And secondly, I am hoping to be able to provide a final update on new salon location and date within the next week. Your support during and ESPECIALLY after Covid19 means the absolute world to me. I never want to stop doing what I love!

11.01.2022 Unfortunately I was involved in a car accident on my way home from work last night. I am okay. Couple of minor injuries so I am a bit sore and bruised, but no broken bones and it could have been much worse! I was hospitalised overnight and I wont be operating the salon today. I will have already contacted any bookings for today and will be in touch ASAP to attempt to reschedule you before Christmas. (I will get you in!!) 10.01.2022 IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ! I am so excited to be back behind the chair, but of course both you and I will need to take extra precaution during Covid 19. There have been some changes to my salon policies and procedures, please read carefully before booking or attending Rachael Mack Hair. Firstly, new location - there is street parking available on Logan Road as well as a secure carpark located across the road from Freedom Suites (access via Cleveland Street). Buzz 'Suite 3' on ke...ypad located at front entrance upon arrival and I will let you in to waiting area! - I have completed an extra course on Covid 19 Infection Control training for your safety and mine. - I am still working by appointment only. No walk-ins. Only the client on the booking is permitted to attend the appointment. Please do not bring anyone extra, including children. (unless otherwise arranged) - Please do NOT arrive more than 5-10 minutes before your appointment. I may have to cut down your appointment time for any late arrivals.This is to ensure social distancing & correct infection control procedures can be followed between bookings. - Each client will be required to fill out a Coronavirus Declaration form before their service. - Please do NOT attend your booking if you are displaying flu-like symptoms or have travelled overseas/interstate in the past 14 days, or if you have been in close contact with a confirmed case of Coronavirus. - I will provide hand sanitiser etc for use before, during and after your appointment. As well as extra precautions with the service of beverages, all food provided will be individually wrapped. However, I do encourage you to bring your own drinks. - I will not be providing magazines etc until further notice, so please bring reading material/laptop/tablet with charger & headphones if you wish! - All surfaces and equipment will be thoroughly sterilised before & after each client. Towels will be single use only. - EFTPOS payment strongly encouraged. Cash is accepted but please ensure to have correct amount as I won't be issuing change. Thank you for understanding!
