14.01.2022 THREE FREE HEALTH HACKS TO REDUCE YOUR BLOATING 1. Overnight fasting. Allow 12+ hours between the last meal of the day and the first meal of the following day to allowing sufficient time for some serious gut cleaning action to occur. 2. Reduce liquid intake around meals. Stop drinking large amounts 30 minutes before to 60 minutes after your meal to support digestive acids and enzymes.... 3. Chew your food. Summer is around the corner and I want you to be able to enjoy all of this YUM food. ... I know it can be hard to know what's causing these symptoms, but maybe there is leaky gut involved? 07.01.2022 Did you know green bananas are a brilliant food source for your gut bugs?! Less ripe/green bananas and commercially available banana flour are a source of resistant starch (RS). RS is a type of starch that can resist digestion by human pancreatic enzymes in the small intestines and thus, reach the colon. ... Here, certain beneficial bacteria feed and produce beneficial metabolites called short chain fatty acids which are crucial for gut integrity and function, immune modulation, nutrients absorption (especially calcium and magnesium) and cholesterol levels.. just to name a few functions. 06.01.2022 NEW RECIPE: RAW BLACK FOREST DESSERT I don't mean to brag, but I have really outdone myself. 03.01.2022 ... and after drinking water, waking up... breathing. You know my message, this is not right, normal or acceptable. There is a treatable and manageable reason for this insane amount of bloating, and when this has been identified solutions become available. ... If you have been told, 'this is normal', ' I guess this is just your IBS' or 'just avoid those foods (indefinitely)' Leave. You deserve a life that is exponentially better than this. Tag a loved one who deserves to feel good in their own skin! Rach xx . . . @ibs_memes_

03.01.2022 Constipation feels, right? Constipation is traditionally defined as three or fewer bowel movements per week. But in my professional opinion, anything less than one bowel motion or a bowel motion that leaves you feeling there is more there but it can't move (a feeling of incomplete evacuation) is a problem... Chronic constipation is classified as functional (primary) or secondary. . Functional constipation can be divided into normal transit, slow transit, or outlet constipation. Secondary chronic constipation (is where constipation is a side effect of sorts) has many causes including medication use, as well as medical conditions, such as hypothyroidism or irritable bowel syndrome. There are SO many reasons for slow bowel and many of you know there is just not enough water or fibre to move you along, in fact fibre can make it worse for some (what a headache that is). For many of my patients changes in their gut microbiome (bugs), enzymes, acids, bile as well as stress and their gut's nervous system may play a role. Who know constipation was this complex? If you are keen to reach your goal of the perfect poop, let's chat! Poop questions always welcomed too. Love this from @naolito

02.01.2022 Are you anxious about wearing 'normal' clothes again? We're getting closer to saying goodbye to the 24/7 yoga pants situation and the oppourtunity of wearing jeans or our favourite outfit to places other than the supermarket is nearing. For many of us, this is welcomed whole heartedly, but then there is the rest that is dreading it. ... Dreading it for a reason that's got nothing to do with how much you weigh. It's because of bloating. The daily struggle of picking an outfit that: a) you feel good in b) fits you if you aren't bloated c) will still fit you if you do bloat (timing, severity and trigger unknown) d) isn't yoga pants Is SO DAMN HARD. I am here to tell you this daily struggle doesn't have to be the way. There is a reason you are bloating, having food reactions, are fatigued and are now feeling anxious about food. There is a reason even if "all my tests have come back normal". When we work together, look outside the square and find out why, better, more effective and long-term solutions can be created. I just want to help you feel good in your own skin. So let's chat. Rach xx >> https://www.rachellarsson.com.au/consultations <<
