25.01.2022 A virtual trophy for my virtual career! I was improving steadily through the season but still felt I was getting little bullied out there, so next season I need to get some elbows outs! #penriteoils #ozicar

24.01.2022 F1 is back! How good was young Norris at the end of the race. Watching the onboard footage of him chasing down Hamilton is brilliant. The race engineer communications is also brilliant to experience.

24.01.2022 What a great year it was. Time to clean and start fresh.

23.01.2022 Successful day. Thanks to Chris Hall, my data analyst Parry Anastakis and over the phone tuner Peter Taylor for the help. Good to also have a visit from Jimmy T...ran. Brakes are heaps better but the driver needs more work but we are getting there and the lap times are improving. There were also lots of nice cars there today. See more

16.01.2022 Racing Peugeot Australia had 2 Pugs in the first round of MRA. Car 46 of Adrian W and car 1 (previously 144). It was a day of changing condition and no tyres that suited the conditions. Car46 ran faultlessly but Car 1 suffered a coolant hose failure and a resultant blown headgasket. Even with a blown headgasket and running down on power race 2 started 11th and finished 4th.

15.01.2022 Announcement: Parry has been accepted in the Australian Turbo Race series. Parry will be running a TCR car over 6 rounds. Can real life be converted over to Sim Racing. We will see. Racing Peugeot has engaged RSW Graphics to design a car livery. The unveiling will be coming shortly. First race is this Wednesday at 7:30pm AEST telecast live on SimTV

09.01.2022 DIMMA 2020 OFFICIAL LAUNCH IN CONJUNCTION WITH PARTNERS HEAUNIQUE GROUP. The original Dimma 205 was designed and produced by Baudouin Michele, Dimma Design Belg...ium in 1985 and the styling was based on the World Rally Championship winning 205 T16 Group B rally car. The Dimma 205 body kit was approved and promoted by Peugeot themselves, the then boss of the Peugeot Sport competition department, Jean Toddt (Now top man at the FIA) even had one as his company car. In 1986 Terry Pankhurst became the UK agent for Dimma and as well as setting up a network of Peugeot Main agents selling new Dimma converted 205s he also built a number of highly modified specials including a Dimma 205 4x4 Cosworth. The specials featured in magazines throughout the world and included Turbo versions, 16v and even a supercharged version. In total, Dimma UK built around two hundred and fifty Dimma 205s and a lot of those cars are still around today, becoming sought after and valuable as they were the dream machine of many at that time. Other successful Dimma conversions followed, with Terry taking the mantle and designing new kits from his Cheshire base. A Toolmaker by trade, Terry has a lifetime of experience of building race, rally and high-performance road cars and is also an experienced rally driver/instructor. The Dimma conversions have always been about improving the original car not only in looks, but in performance and handling. It has always been important to deliver a car that is as well rounded as an original production car, but for the customer that wants something special. New Project: -The aim was to produce a brand-new version of the Classic Dimma 205, performance, handling and styling has moved on and the idea was to embrace new technology and apply it to retro cool. The new version is faster, wider and more aggressive looking than the original, but remains instantly recognisable. Back in the day, Dimma UK would buy new-crated 405 MI 16 engines from the factory and install them into the 205s, why? Because it was better! This time we are going an awful lot further... Almost everything is modern, mechanical and electrical, including the interior. It comes, brand new, from the current Peugeot 308Gti and its all being fitted into an original 205 body. The track is wider, the direct injection 1.6 Turbo engine is currently running 300bhp, it has a 6-speed gearbox, huge brakes and 19 wheels. The 308Gti is a fantastic car, but this Dimma is around 400 KG lighter so the all-round performance improvements are highly significant. The 2020 Dimma 205 is aimed at being a road legal modern classic, with the ability to deliver stunning driveability and performance on the road or on a circuit track day. At this point the car we are showing is a drivable prototype, but the body panels have all been hand crafted by Terry and are literally sculpted from heavy solid materials. The next step is to take moulds off all of the parts and move to production of lightweight, mostly carbon panels. Before we move to production, we need to assess customer interest, each car will have to be hand built to order and a minimum number of units would need to be pre-sold in order to make production viable.

09.01.2022 The gearbox was rebuilt and back in the car by 7:30pm. Great effort by the entire team. Now the team is enjoying a great dinner! This team has been together for 5 years now some for more. Today we all knew our jobs and got it all done.

08.01.2022 First in class and seventh overall. Well done Angus and Parry!!

07.01.2022 Office for the day...

07.01.2022 Adrian Wuillemin / Parry Anastakis - Peugeot 205 GTi

07.01.2022 Thank you Adrian Wuillemin and EFI Hardware for the new fuel rail and 1250cc injectors! More progress on the new engine. Also thank you Satchell Engineering for helping sort some aircraft grade driveshafts and a clutch solution for the new build.

05.01.2022 Love this photo! and yes this is in Australia

05.01.2022 Old 205s never die

05.01.2022 Unbelievable good news. Adrian found this in his fathers attic. A brand new Peugeot 205GTI never used, with original factory stickers, chassis rail! In Australia! Adrian's father passed away several years ago and was a Peugeot specialist (and Lotus). He must be watching over things down here! Adrian, your car will be on the track in no time!

05.01.2022 Covid19 progress. Lots of plumbing to be done!

04.01.2022 Great day out with car 46 and its first enduro. The car did well with the only issue being pad knockoff. The car recorded the 2nd fastest time and a PB in class, but due to miscalculation in fuel usage the team could not pit under the safety car. It was a great field of 37 starters and the little pug did well. Thanks to all the pitcrew for their help.

04.01.2022 Gearbox is back together.

03.01.2022 Reality sets in. After spending the last 6 months in Sim Racing due to car not ready and Covid it takes one incident to realize a Simulator will never simulate the disappointment and danger of real life. These photos are a result of the Lancer in 11th on the grid breaking a driveshaft and not going anywhere on the grid, in a field of 40 odd cars there was only a matter of time of one car hitting him as he sat there like a sitting duck. The commodore slammed the lancer, the Peugeot 205 then hits the Commodore and then the commodore spins into the BMW. It was devastating for all involved, this is club level racing and we all love our cars. Thank god everybody was ok.

01.01.2022 Racing Peugeot Australia would like to unveil the 2020 Esports TCR Audi RS3 that will be competing in the Australian Turbo Touring Car IRacing Series piloted by Parry Anastakis. The series kicks off this Wednesday at 7.30pm AEST (9.30GMT) and can be watched live on Sim Speed Esports Network. Make sure you show your support and callout Parry to the commentators during the livestream. We took some time to talk to Parry about the upcoming series: RPA: How are you coping in a Co...vid19 world? PA: Its painful not being able to get out and race and especially when the Sydney 300 was cancelled as I was really looking forward to racing with Angus Lithgow again in his little 206. But the time off is allowing Adrian Wuillemin and Peter Taylor to work on the 205 and build the supercharged engine. Which is a bonus. To keep me entertained I am watching the Bin races at Wakefield Park, it is an amazing race series. RPA: Your now getting into online racing how are you finding the transition? PA: Its a totally different world, everything is visual queues no driving from the seat. But its does teach you spacial awareness that I can take back into the reality. BTW, this is not a game, the simulation is just so accurate with setups and driving lines. The TCR car is front wheel drive so it does suit my experiance with the Pug, you really need to pull the car through the turn. You also need to use a lot of trail braking to help get the car to turn in. RPA: You have your first race this Wednesday, what are your expectations? PA: Really nervous actually, I just dont want to get involved in an incident with anyone. Its very different than reality racing, you have a different perspective of whats happening around you and where everybody is. I just hope I can finish the race. The sim racers are very fast, I dont expect to be competing at the front anytime soon, so a mid field finish will be my aim. Everybody is secretive with their laptimes at Barber Motorsports Park so no indication of how competitive I will be. I am managing 1:33s in race format, I think the top sim racers will be doing 1:30s. RPA: Tell us about your sim setup. PA: Pretty simple setup. Using a Thrustmaster TMX PRO wheel and pedals. I did have Clubsport V1 pedals, but I could not get full throttle so I need to renew a few parts. The base is Next level stand and seat. I am currently using a Oculus CV1 headset that is ok, very immersive but not the clarity I would like. I did want to get the new Oculus Rift S but they are soldout world wide, so a monitor will be my next option. RPA: The new car looks fast, how did you go about designing the livery? PA: Ross from RSW Graphics did all the artwork, I just wanted to keep the theme from the little red Pug and give some exposure to my longtime sponsors Penrite Oil and Motor Racing Australia - MRA. The car does look fast in the photos, lets hope I can do it justice and just finish the first race with no damage. #penriteoils #MRA #SuperTT
