25.01.2022 Squash training is back on this coming Saturday for the "In House" squash comp players.......... from 9.30am with supercoach Ross.....

24.01.2022 Social squash competition beginning January the 19th is gradually reaching capacity....... a few more spots to go if you wish to take part...... 12 teams, each made up of four players and graded in order of merit, 12 teams then split in to two Divisions, played on at Tuesday night beginning at 6.30pm......call (m) 0409824487 or email me [email protected] to be included

24.01.2022 All squash courts/centers have today been closed down in Victoria due to the the Covid-19 numbers explosion fiasco.....we are very fortunate to be in a bubble here in Canberra..... when you arrive here to play in tonights squash comp use the hand hygene dispenser as you walk in to the center, there is also another attached to the wall behind court 7.....keep to the required safe distance of 1.5 metres when you are spectating behind the glass back courts, the staggered playing times that you have been allocated of 6.30pm and 7.30pm are to be strictly adhered to....we have had visits from Government officials to check that we are complying to requirements....we dont know when they may make other surprise visits.... stay safe every-one

23.01.2022 Squash was popular this morning at the Dickson courts.....the Intermediate group was back in training along with coach Ross after the long layoff due to the Dickson squash club championships taking precedence over the court usage during the last three weekends

23.01.2022 Saturday October the 10th....we will be celebrating World Squash Day!!.....watch this space...

22.01.2022 Good morning all, Round 7 of 14 is now completed, results are on the notice board behind court 5 Staggered times are working efficiently, 5 of the 6 courts started on time at 6.30pm sharp..so there wasn’t too much overlap from the first group to the 2nd 7.15pm groupkeep up the good work everybody.... I posted on the Bodyline sports FB page a photo of Nada and Eoin after their epic 5 setter on court 1check it out and like itNada edged out Eoin 13/15 in the fifth.it looked a tough matchNada had rosy cheeks. Reserve Oki Widodo hasn’t lost any of his court craft, after quite a long layoff from squash he and Edwina went hammer and tongs on court 2 in a tough and enthralling 5 setter that Oki eventually won 69 to 62 points. Karun had Bec Potter’s measure.for the first two games at leastBec dug deep to come back and win the next three games and take the match in five, though Karun had his chances in the fourth losing it 13/15 Reserve Christabelle Choo tested Hetty Thornton’s capabilities over five tough games, the fifth was a close one with Hetty holding off a fast finishing Christabelle 16/14 to take out the match in five, 74 to 69 points Heather Campbell and Jen Pullen had a tight encounterJen winning the first two reasonably easily, Heather came back to win the third 20/18 and again 17/15 in the fourth, and again the fifth to take out the match. After a tight five set loss to Clare maunder in last week’s Thursday night comp, Kaitlyn O’Neill showed how much she is learning and improving her squash by rounding up Clare last night in four hard fought games. Anthony Eldridge managed to stave off Tanya Rough in 3 very close games.. 18/16 15/12 and 15/12 worth the drive from Queanbeyan and back I reckon Anthony?? Edward Farrell had the goods on reserve Luke Apelt last night..points overall were close, 54 to 52 Edwards way, and three games to 1..a very good win to Edward. Similarly Cate Le Mesurier and Meg Kildea played a close match, Cate winning in four dour games, points were once again close, Cate 53 and Meg 51 I will send a reminder next week prior to Tuesday regarding the staggered times. Coaching is on once again with Ross on court 7 & 8 beginning at 9.30am. Well done every one!.

20.01.2022 During our In House Intermediate squash comp here at Dickson tonight, LJ Hooker Real estate extraordinaire salesman Eoin Ryan Hicks who is also a playing member of the In house squash comp group, presented the Dickson Squash club with a cheque of $500.00!! This was due to the generosity of Dickson squash club member Kevin Ford who nominated our club, the background to the donation is, that if you sell your home through LJ Hooker who are currently having a promotion, they will support a non profit organisation of your choice.... Thank you LJ Hooker and thank you Kevin Ford who is a staunch supporter of the Dickson Squash club and anything to do with squash......

19.01.2022 Good morning Thursday night squashies, Last night was the final round of the Intermittent squash comp, final results are attached.. Winners of Division 1 was Team 1 Kingfishers, the very well balanced combination of Diego Hernandez, Brendan Cara, Chris Boreham and Kaitlyn O’Neill... Winners of Division 2 was Team 7 Skylarks, ably led by Ross Rendell, and well supported by Adam Chad, Jan Noonan and Kevin Ford Well done to all 8 players a superb consistent effort over the 6 rounds. Thanks you all for supporting this competition and the previous one that this one followed, there’s no doubt about you, you’re all dyed in the wool squashies that support the best sport in the World. Pennant should begin from Tuesday the 29th September and finish the first week of December..10 rounds, no Finals, you will be advised as we progress setting the competition up. I will be trying to organise a Monday night comp similar to the one that we have just completed, I will be sending details out to everyone as soon as I can, a good opportunity for some to get a second game of squash in each week. I really appreciate your support in these really testing times that we have been experiencing since early March this year..every sale that you transact with me is a bonus Thanks again

18.01.2022 Round 15 of the Intermediate "In House" comp passed incident free with just 7 reserves for the night.. Some excellent results depending if you were the winner or the loser I suppose.but accolades to the winners, accept them now, because next week is a new week with a different opponent. Top of the list in my view is Melissa Hewertson’ s 3/2 win over Michelle Farrell, Melissa was recently moved from no 3 to no 2 position because of her improving form and she hasn’t relente...Continue reading

16.01.2022 Good afternoon Tuesday nighters, Can you believe it, we have just finished round 10 of 17 rounds.it wasn’t too long ago that the future was looking a bit bleak regarding the possibility of us finishing the competition, that was after round 4 when the Covid-19 shutdown came in to effect, and since then we have managed another 6 roundsbut it’s not over yet, so keep your fingers crossed, adhere to the stagger times.the 7.15pm players shouldn’t come earlier, some of you are k...Continue reading

15.01.2022 It was the final round of the very successful Intermediate In House squash competition last night, that was after 17 rounds of superlative squash that started way back on the 25th February. The best team finished on top of the ladder, and we all know they were Team NO 6 The Dingoes, they virtually were never headed, and led from start to finish ending with 223 points averaging with just over 13 points each round..a pretty good effort to say the least, after a few rounds...Continue reading

07.01.2022 Our Intermittant mid season squash comp got off to a pretty good start tonight here at the Dickson courts, 12x4 person teams had a pretty good tussle, blowing out all the built up cobwebs during the lockdown, in fact the squash was of a very high standard considering the long layoff, which means next Thursday the standard will be even better....we used the stagger start for all players, meaning all 48 players werent in the centre at the same time......

05.01.2022 New updated equipment was installed on the glass backed squash courts at Dickson last week, the Tradies are keeping the courts up to competition level for the community at large to utilise, the recent upgrade was made to the sound system, it cost a pretty penny to replace the electronics on all four glass backs, and it was worth every dollar spent, it insures that users using the michrophone to score matches will sound like Tom Jones did in his heyday, and the upgrade doesent stop there, repair and maintenance to the court walls and re carpet to the court viewing area are being organised......

05.01.2022 A very much appreciated Christmas greeting from a very high ranking squash player.....
