25.01.2022 End of year Christmas Tour is confirmed for Saturday 11th December. Will be a progressive lunch of pub meals with entre at Loch, main course at Korumburra and dessert at Leongatha. Connection is by a special train charter on the South Gippsland Railway.

19.01.2022 The Rail Tourist Association had its "End of Year Chirstmas Tour" yesterday (Saturday 11th December) Started at 8.00am at Spencer Street. Caught the Spark to Cranbourne (had a bus ride in between due to line closures)......

12.01.2022 Kerrisdale Mountain Railway has been chosen as the venue for our AGM this year. The presentation of this little privately-owned railway and museum is impressive, as well as the superb views of the Goulburn Valley obtainable during the ride. Cost is $69 ex Melbourne ($55 concession), non-members welcome.

12.01.2022 Annual General Meeting at Maldon last Sunday (29/5/11) went well, 22 attendees enjoyed a relaxing day trundling out to Maldon and back in the opulence of 'Tambo' parlor car. The Committee also welcomes Garry Giles to its ranks.

11.01.2022 A low-cost day outing to the picturesque town of Noojee, visiting the Noojee Heritage Centre (only opened last year) will be held in conjunction with the Rail Tourist Associations AGM on Saturday, 23 May 2015. 07.01.2022 Planning is under way for a couple of tours in the near future: 1. Sunday 3 May 2015 A round trip Melbourne - Castlemaine - Maldon - Maryborough - Ballarat - Melbourne.... Travel by V/Line to Castlemaine and from Maryborough, as well as the Victorian Goldfields Railway. Pub lunch at Maldon. Brochure now available from our website www.railtourist.com.au 2. Sat. 23 May 2015 It's time for the Association's Annual Meeting, and in keeping with past practice a tour will be offered as well. Noojee is the destination this year. Final details coming soon.

05.01.2022 Next outing is a joint tour with the Geelong & South Western Rail Heritage Society to Crowes on Sat. 19 June to celebrate the centenary of the line's opening. Coach ex Geelong at 0930, seats filling fast - bookings essential!

02.01.2022 Our end of year tour is to Nagambie on Sunday 7 December 2014, continuing the nautical theme of the last few pre-Xmas tours. The plan is to travel to Nagambie on the regular V/Line service, enjoy a relaxing pub lunch then embark on a three-hour cruise on Lake Nagambie and the Goulburn River on the Goulburn Explorer river cruiser.
