Births, Deaths and Marriages have published a policy for trans and gender diverse parents wanting to change their parental descriptor and name in their child’s birth record (and certificate), after altering their sex descriptor in their own birth record. The policy also applies to adult children of a trans or gender diverse parent wishing to update their parent’s details in their own birth record. To our VCE, Year 10 VCE and VCAL students in our families, stay safe and do well.
