15.01.2022 If you are heading down the coast over the rest of the holidays, please be mindful of wildlife that may be looking for food sources along the highway. Life’s to...ugh for these guys at the moment. ~ There is very little vegetation around for them to eat, barely any water so they will be looking for anything they can get, so please take care. ~ We have been super busy helping to set up some Wildlife feeding station headquarters, as well as getting some help from our local Men’s shed (thank you @thecoffeeguild for helping organise this) to get 400 water feeding stations built. Plus much more. ~ We will keep you posted on that info soon. ~ In the meantime should you see any injured wildlife please call @wireswildliferescue on 1300 094 737 OR @wildliferescuesc on 0418 427 214 for North of Batemans Bay or for anything South of the Bay call 0417 238 921. I’m going tomorrow for a few days to show where the money goes. I’ve been very close to @australianreptilepark for years and asked what I can do to do a bit more for the animals. So I found @timswildlife and I could hear the pain in his voice. @aussieark It’s a non profit organisation which is beautiful and rare. I’m thinking of everyone, everyday #australia Like all of you. My heart is burning with our beautiful people and our country. We don’t deserve this. X See more

09.01.2022 At 8:30pm there are 111 bush and grass fires burning across NSW, all at the Advice alert level, with 40 not yet contained. While it's been pleasing to hear of r...ain falling across parts of the state today, many of these fires will still take some time to fully contain. You only need to take five minutes though to improve or make a plan that will give your property, your family and yourself the best chance of survival should you be threatened by a bush fire. Find out more at www.myfireplan.com.au

08.01.2022 The Gospers Mountain fire is now contained. After lightning started the fire on October 26, it has burnt through more than 512,000 hectares across the Lithgow,... Hawkesbury, Hunter Valley, Cudgegong, Blue Mountains and Central Coast local government areas. The firefighting effort has seen a range of local, interstate, federal and international agencies involved. Containment took longer than expected due to unfavourable weather conditions, however due to our hardworking crews, we have achieved that today. It is important to remember not to be complacent as there are still a few months of the bush fire season to go with some bushland that still has not been burnt.
