25.01.2022 Autumnal sunset.

20.01.2022 Some information on our namesake! http://www.kyfreepress.com.au//10/18/56245/the-aussie-otter

19.01.2022 Despite numerous gulps from splash-and-go water bombers this week, you simply wont believe how clear the waters of our beloved lake are. Lake Conjola fortunately remains unaffected by recent bushfires. Good dates for the Spring school holidays are still available! Book now!

18.01.2022 Such a nice time of year on the lake with some sun and no wind. The water is so clear and there are a few fish about

17.01.2022 Dreary Autumn weather.

17.01.2022 Someones lucky day! The coveted week beginning Boxing Day (26th December - 2nd January) has just become available! Contact https://www.stayz.com.au/119008 for more details.

15.01.2022 It’s been a fun eight years, but the time has come to be gone. As of next month Rakali will have new owners, and we wish them all the best for the next chapter. The good news is that Rakali will remain available for holiday rentals. Look for the new HomeAway listing coming soon, and this page should also remain live. Thank you for holidaying at Rakali, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. Bryn & Mia.

13.01.2022 Enjoy what winter at Lake Conjola on the South Coast has to offer at Rakali Cottage, with the deep lake edge on the doorstep, room for 8 people, a short walk to the bowling club and plenty of space for the kids to stretch their legs. Send us a message to book your spot.

13.01.2022 Although it’s a bit chilly this time of year, it’s still beautiful at Lake Conjola! We’re glad you enjoyed your stay, Naomi.

13.01.2022 A nifty little walk not far from the cottage is the rather unimaginatively named Mount Bushwalker. Its about one hour walk in each direction, and quite level making it a relaxing stroll in nearby bushland with the reward of sweeping panoramic views.

13.01.2022 A great way to start the day - a couple of lines in the lake and out for a paddle for some stingray spotting!

12.01.2022 Catching the most fish is NOT a competition. Though, if it was...

11.01.2022 Zoom lens not required.

11.01.2022 The lake is to be opened this week! This is great news for summer!

10.01.2022 Holy smoke, that was close! Saved by our gallant RFS. As the Lake Conjola community gets back on its feet, we would love to be able to continue to welcome guests to Rakali Cottage. We hope your visits can help rebuild this beautiful area. #gowithemptyeskies

07.01.2022 Springtime at last!

07.01.2022 Rakali Cottage from 34,000 feet!

07.01.2022 There are five weekends this month, and only four of them have been booked. What a waste! The weekend of the 23rd is still available, and any three or more nights booking will be offered a fourth night at no extra charge. See https://www.homeaway.com.au/holiday-rental/p9119008 for booking details. =D

06.01.2022 Rakali rolls on! We have been lucky enough to escape both fire and flood, and now the lake entrance is wiiiiiide open once more. I also think we are free of coronavirus, but Id have to verify that somehow. Book now! =D

06.01.2022 Ever get the feeling that someone has been redirecting their mail to your postal address?

06.01.2022 Granite Falls - a nice short walk not far from Conjola, just off the highway. Shame about the drought!

06.01.2022 The entrance is wiiiide open! Book your next holiday at Rakali Cottage today.

05.01.2022 Lots of rain again this weekend on the South Coast. The water view came a little closer for a second time in 2 weeks. Fortunatley Rakali Cottage is fine and the waters have receeded. Please support the community of Lake Conjola as there have certainly been some challenges for the area over the past 12 months

05.01.2022 View from the George Boyd Lookout, Morton National Park.

03.01.2022 Pigeon House Mountain! A great day trip away from the beach, less than an hours drive to the car park. If youre fitter than I am (and theres probably a fair chance of that) its around ninety minutes to the top. It gets a little steep towards the top, but well worth the climb.

03.01.2022 Happiness is an excavator letting the lake out and some ocean in.
