24.01.2022 Want to win a Castrol Gift Pack, and a ride in the Citroen DS3 Rally?

24.01.2022 Testing strikes a cruel blow.. 12 crews tested on a selection of 4 roads in the forest yesterday. Most crews had a very successful day but unfortunately 2 crews have had to withdraw. Mick Patton had brake failure Leading to an off-road crash into a tree that is too extensive to fix. Jay Davidson rolled. There were no injuries, but we are sad to not see these 2 compete.

24.01.2022 It's 10pm and Parc Ferme is filled with cars, all tucked away nice and safe and ready for tomorrow morning. Lardner Park, or out in the brisk morning air around Neerim and Powelltown are the places to be tomorrow to see who takes home the Australian Rally Championship trophy in 2014. We hope to see you there!

24.01.2022 This morning was a hive of activity, action a plenty from before sunrise. It's like ants pouring out of an anthill and no one runs into one another. And a quiet word from a few competitors. Within Rally Vic will be Round 5 of the VRC too, scoring is tight at the top and nobody wants to throw their chances into the undergrowth.

21.01.2022 9.30pm and crews are finishing up servicing the cars, ready for an early start tomorrow morning. It's a lonely old place on your back under a rally car replacing a gearbox in the cold with only a whisper of torchlight, but dedicated crews do this to keep their team in the event for tomorrow. These boys and girls are the heart and soul of competing crews - no work done, the team goes home. It's as easy as that. Who said motorsport was glamorous? Perhaps these people make it so. When you visit Lardner Park tomorrow, take some time to watch these lifesavers bring their beasts back to life!

18.01.2022 Funny time to post , but ! Tomorrow is scrutineering for those taking official, let's have a look local. Interstate crews are banking on, All stuff is OK, regional the same. It's getting to the mind games for ' Rally Vic - 2014 '. Competitors will be sizing up those competing. Teams will be looking at points scores and the differences in all categories. Who is being physiced and who is being succumbed to mind games. The only one true knowledge is, when the flag drops, the... bullshite stops . Rally Vic , again offers fast and unpredictable roads that keep the favored campaigner and novice on a speculative approach to the event. Tick , Tock , Tick , Tock , ! Pacenoting , checking old notes, complacency , ' I remember that ' , all this will pour into this years Rally Victoria. Cockie ! Trying to impress ! Catch-up ! .. .. .. A Will to Win , makes this round a must do for all competing crews this year. No doubt about it , they're out there to impress and succeed , no matter the consequences. We have a great field no matter the variety, champions in all classes but hero to zero , in the blink of an eye. Read this , Look at the website, come out and take in the testosterone and steely will of those competing. They are human , in exceptional vehicles, but a will to win against all odds and show Rally Victoria is standout's of it's standing in Australia's Premier Rally series. Victorians, competitors, car club members, love of the sniff , Friday , Saturday , has your name on some of the picturesque and yet demanding forest roads in the country. If not competing, come and see what you may aspire to do next year ! ! If anything, come and see our latest crop of champions putting vehicle and crew to the test. Come and have a talk to me ! Surely a perplexing and yet profound assessment of what we will watch. Bring it ON ! See more

08.01.2022 I've got a few more too !

08.01.2022 It's a quiet old night. Wednesday 12 Nov 2014, Armistice Day has just passed and a lot, are very quiet. A lot have taken in the meaning and relevance of this day , yearly and in our short history we have proven our ability on all stages in the world. We have packed a lot of battling into the short history and it's being played out again tonight and tomorrow on and for recce that awaits them in Australian Rally Championships - Rally Victoria ! For those at the pointy and of th...e field , crucial testing today and tyre assessments, ECU mapping changes, suspension adjustments, washing of luck endowed or suspicious inclined underwear. Then tomorrow, old notes, borrowed notes, fresh pages, all will be out and on display tomorrow from 07.00am hours around the hills of Powelltown. Crews meandering the Yarra Junction - Noojee Rd. All very familiar for many teams teams , those from interstate with a those with a few years under their belt will instantly recognise these, in the dark, spaded and eyes closed. Some crews will have specific vehicles to simulate the driving dynamics, some in borrowed bangers, 4wd's, mums shopping trolley, the work ute. No matter the configuration, planning work and recce has to be done to the best and liking of the crews. Lardner Park , the hub and nerve centre of the event is transforming into a kaleidoscope of activity, special stage works, VIP readiness , special stage equipment distribution, like bullants out of an ant-mound, constant movement, coming and going. Interstate and top level crews , positioning for the optimum area to set up their ponderosa , size always counts in the mind games department, ARC , VRC, Excel , Classics and SxS, all setting up house for the next few days. Are you coming down to have a squizz ! Don't think , DO ! ( who said that ? ! ) Friday morning when the UV beams of sunlight hit the grasslands of Lardner Park, Power Stage activities begin. Forest anger is underway not long after midday, with the ARC and Classics torturing each other, why should they have all the fun, come out see the best of the best ! Copy the link for your piece of spectator heaven : http://www.rallyvictoria.com.au//2014%20Full%20Spec%20Guid You will enjoy it ! Trust me ! You'll love it !

04.01.2022 It's Monday, dust has settled on the final ECB Australian Rally Championship - Rally Victoria 2014 and the victors have taken their rightful place in history. Congratulations to Scott Pedder Pedders Suspension Rally Team and Dale Moscatt , taking out the big prize. A great effort especially after the sole destroying incident on the first Power Stage of the event. (Look above !) But the event wasn't a one pony show though, Jolie Middleton and Tristan Penhall Penhall Motorspo...rt request of all crews to take 'The Oath' for Rallying to End Violence Against Women and Children at the initial Drivers Briefing was well received. The ArmorAll Power Stage taken out by Brendan Reeves and sister Rhianon Gelsomino Rhianon Gelsomino Rally Brendan Reeves Motorsport. VIP rides, where two local boys made the rally family stop and see how great we really can be, Ben and Cam both had rides with Joel Wald and Sherm David Lethlean in their Mutsubishi EVO IX and Neal Bates Motorsport and Coral Taylor in their RA40 Toyota Celica, respectively. This was a special site for all those fortunate enough to be in the rides area, special mention to Al and Fiona and a few others close to the network that made this happen. Really well done. Friday arvo saw the first forest stages run, Pioneer and Gunns run twice . (Results at - http://www.rallyresults.com.au/arc/2014/Vic/ A lot of action when the cars returned to Lardner Park for service prior to being placed in Parc Ferme for the night. Many crews used up all allotted time to have their cars ready for Saturdays Heat. This is where the Focus on Furniture - Victorian Rally Championship crews joined the event. So we had ARC, 4WD, Classic, SxS and VRC Vic Rally in all 58 vehicles making up the field. ARChie took me out into the forest and introduced me to some of his mates! I couldn't believe this guy! Kids loved him, though his name sake Archie Evans couldn't quite share the stage with him. It was great to see lots of people in the forest at the specy points as all would have gone home fairly pleased with what they saw. By the time the last stage was to run, the Lardner Park Super Special, the event had taken a toll on a few vehicles. It all finishes with cheers, trophies and spraying of champagne and worthy winners took pride and place in front of families, crews and spectators. A notable presence were the brothers Ben and Cam off to the side of the stage. Again Neil and Coral met up with the boys and gave Cam their winning trophy, a very special touch, congratulations and many thanks for making this a very special event for their family. A special mention to Fiona and Alan Mackay, their primary sponsors Tankformers and Fuji Xerox, who without their help and support we wouldn't have an event. All the volunteers and officials out in the forest, Neerim service, Lardner Park. See more

03.01.2022 Racer Recall - The New ME-Tec Fiesta is the latest release from Motorsport Essentials in Braeside Vic. At first glance, the Fiesta looks like any normal 2010 WS Fiesta, although it's far from it. The ME-Tec Fiesta hosts a range of changes to make it a top performing Rally Car, and Motorsport Essentials (ME) believe that once the owner/driver "Jonathan Byrnes" comes accustom to the vehicle, it will be the car to watch out for in 2015.... With a host of changes, the following is just a brief list of some enhancements; * ME full roll cage * Velo Seats * Complete ME customized wiring system * Haltech Dash & ECU * ME Subaru brake & bearing hub upgrade * ME Custom axles * Sequential 5spd gearbox And the list goes on.... So keep any eye out for the ME-Tec Fiesta at Rally Vic this Saturday 15th Nov 2014, and check out the Race Recall you tube page for some exciting in/out car footage.

03.01.2022 Power Stage Results from the shoot out this morning saw Brendan Reeves Motorsport celebrating a win, with Eli Evans hot on their tail! Citroen's Sullens scored a third. Scott Pedder did not start after clipping a gutter and hitting an embankment in qualifying.

02.01.2022 1pm 1pm 1pm 1pm Sunday Just checked the local guides and it seems to be at 1pm not as shown below!! Don't miss it this is the full event review.

02.01.2022 Rockin Rod McEwan was chatty about today's chances and outlook with Gary Berrie.

02.01.2022 VIP rides have concluded and the entire rally community pitched in to help deliver an amazing experience to local Drouin bothers Cam and Ben Bowering. Crews became aware of the boys enthusiasm for the sport after seeing the brothers camped at the roadside for the entire event last year and many crews stopped then to give them rally trinkets. This year the family were invited as special guests, with access to a VIP ride with some of their heroes. Ben jumped in alongside Wal f...rom DFA Rally Team in the team's Mitsubishi EVO IX, leaving the line in a thunderous roar and wall of dust. Arriving back at the muster point, Ben had a smile like that of a great white shark. "Awesome ", beaming and tipping it on Cam waiting for his ride. After a problem with the EVO, a Neal Bates Motorsport Toyota Celica, piloted by none other than Neal himself was keen to take Cameron out. Once in the seat with belts tight and helmet in place, they rolled up to the start line. The boys loved the countdown 5 , 4 , 3 , 2 , 1. ! ! ! The Celica launched off the line with Neil giving it everything with no pedal left. Cam was calling the notes and Neil showed his commitment to the calls. When the car door finally opened, Cams face was lit up like a beacon. These rides drew more attention than normal. Competitors, officials and crews were all focused on the boys, many with a manly tear in the eye. Their parents were so proud and the boys so ecstatic, it was a great thing to see at an Australian Rally Championship event. Coral Taylor presented the boys with a Tommy Makinen Racing Hat each, which left many an envious rally enthusiast with open mouths. Fantastic scenes which will be reverberated for a long time on both sides! Many thanks to all crews participating and genuinely interested in the support and wellbeing of the boys, it was a special moment.

02.01.2022 Ssshhh! In just under two hours, cars will be out tackling the Power Stage but for now, they're all still sound asleep and all is very very quiet in Lardner Park this morning

01.01.2022 For everyone who made last weekend and the past 12 month extra special for Cameron and Ben Bowering please see note below from their father Bruce.... To the ent...ire rally community, Everyone who spoke to or observed Cam and Ben would know from their reactions and expressions just how rapt they were with their experiences over the weekend. However, I know there are others who contributed to those experiences who need to be acknowledged. There are many, many individuals and sponsors who have brightened their lives both over the weekend and in an ongoing capacity. Because there are several I do not know, have not met, or I am not aware of, I have to avoid giving credit to individuals, but I want everyone involved to know how much we appreciate your efforts. Even little things like a word from a driver, a thumbs-up from a co-driver, or a smile from an official have an enormous impact. Last time Cam put a crash helmet on (to go for a go-cart ride as a victim of the Black Saturday fires) he had an epileptic seizure and was hospitalised for a day and very disappointed, so we were relieved that he came back from his hot lap more excited than when he left. Yesterday (Sunday), the boys’ Canadian cousins visited us. They hadn’t seen each other for 5 years. Guess what dominated the conversations? It wasn’t ice hockey or anything Canadian! Last week Cam was cranky because he couldn’t sleep he was so excited. Now he’s like an alarm clock that you can’t turn off, talking about his weekend. Thanks a lot, guys! Seriously, though, you have been an inspiration to them both and have taken their enjoyment of rallying to another level altogether. We cannot adequately express our gratitude to you. Having children with a disability can, at times, be difficult and depressing. But it can also be uplifting. It is a humbling experience to have a whole community get behind them and support them in such a magnanimous fashion. It’s a shame that this event is not on next year’s calendar. Cameron will be disappointed, so we might have to put in a surprise appearance at a different event. I’m sure you will recognise us! Kind regards, and thanks again. Bruce Bowering.
