14.01.2022 Teacher of the week- Veronica Gaykamangu. My name is Veronica Gaykamangu and I was born in Darwin. I grew up at Ring Station. I caught the bus EVERYDAY to school. Marion Davitt was my favourite teacher in Year 5/6. I loved swimming in the river at Ring. I have been an Assistant Teacher since 2009. I started working at the school because I wanted to do something with my life and I did it for my family. I look after my brothers children Greg, Polly and Parissa. I like working with my students, teacher and Principal. My favourite: food- spaghetti bolognaise, drink- coke zero, movie- Raiders of the lost Ark, music- Gospel music, sport- basketball and AFL team- Collingwood.

09.01.2022 A heartfelt thanks to East-Arnhem Land Regional Council (Ramingining) Each year at Ramingining School, we have work experience placements in the community, where students gain work experience at different agencies. The aim is to help students with their transition from the classroom into the workplace. Garrette Durrurrnga had his placement at the Ramingining Store. As a health and safety requirement, Garrette had to wear enclosed shoes at work. What a disappointment it was, w...hen he realised that nowhere in the community he could buy a size 13 shoe. We are very grateful to Troy and his team at the Arnhem Land Regional Council who came to the rescue, by donating this pair of high quality work shoes to Garrette. As a result, Garrette had the opportunity to work at the Ramingining Store. He was also offered work during the upcoming school holidays, with the prospect of gaining an apprenticeship at the shop. Thank you Ramingining Council for taking care of our young people. See more

05.01.2022 A sad farewell to Joy and Pete from Ramingining School. Joy has been the fabulous canteen lady at our school for 5 years and we thank her for feeding all of us with delicious food and supporting all staff and students. Pete has been the groundsman and other job man. He has been fantastic in keeping Ramingining School looking manicured and a huge effort getting the school grounds back to some normality after the cyclone. A special mention to say thank you for making teachers houses clean and welcoming when we arrive. We all wish you the best for your new journey to Queensland. Enjoy! You deserve it. We would like to welcome Meggie who will be the new canteen lady and Dennis who will be the new groundsman.
