Do your switches arc or crackle when you use them? 3. Does the face plate of your light and/or power point switch have any cracks?... If you have answered YES to any of these questions you should have any unsafe switches replaced immediately. Power points, switches or any other electrical points can cause an electrocution or fire hazard. Signs your point is dangerous: Burn marks | Cracked | Emits a small spark | Have a loose fitting or mechanism | Missing plastic cover | Overloaded Your points must have a plastic cover as these are the last line of prevention between you and the live terminals behind them.
