14.01.2022 Dear Mr Shanavas Thank you for the petition you presented on behalf of residents in the Hilbert suburb about the proposed Council rates. As you are aware having attended the Council meeting on 26 June 2017, The petition was presented and considered at the Council meeting held on 26 June 2017, and Council having first considered the petition and other public submissions on the proposed rates resolved to adopt the proposed 2017/18 rates as advertised for comment without change.... .

12.01.2022 We the undersigned from Neerigen ward community(Hilbert) respectfully request that the City of Armadale to reduce the current council rate which is at a level that is beyond what we can afford and also would like to freeze proposed 2017/18 rates. We desire the city of Armadale would listen to this request from its ratepayers

02.01.2022 ATTENTION RATEPAYERS!!! Dear residents, I would like to publically thank all the Hilbert residents who signed our petition to protest against council rate increase. Council will continue with proposed 2017-18 rates as advertised for comment without change, and also being advised that our Hilbert average rate change will be 2. 4%. Due to revaluation the average gross rental value of residential improved property in the Hilbert suburb has been increased.... Considering the two above mentioned issues, we are forced to continue with our campaign in the new form of an online petition. 01.01.2022 This Sunday 20th August we have a planting near Fancote Park in Kelmscott. The Rotary club of Mt Lawley is participating in this event. The site is along the Canning River in Kelmscott, close to Albany Hwy. We will meet on-site at 9:00 am, and we will likely work through till 12:00 with a morning tea break in the middle there. Planting Tools and gloves are available, but I recommend participants bring their own gloves if they have any, drinking water and to wear appropriate clothes for working outdoors. I recommend wearing gumboots as it can get muddy. Please text me (0411 20 90 89) if you are planning to come.
