20.01.2022 It is with a heavy heart we let you know that RASCALS is closing its doors this year. After much deliberation, cups of tea, pro/con lists and tears from the teaching team, we have all decided to pursue full time teaching jobs in Sydney schools. The last three years of RASCALS has been a wonderful experience for all of us, though we are now in a position where we need to choose whether or not to pursue full time teaching positions. Sadly, the time has come for us to try a diff...erent path. We would like to invite you all to our final hurrah; a Final Wrap Party. We have hired East Lindfield Community Hall (9 Wellington Ave, East Lindfield, where That Great Market is based) on Sunday December 9 2018 from 12pm to 3pm. We invite all RASCALS staff, volunteers, students and families to drop in, bring some food to share, have a sing along, flip through some show memories and see friends. We will have all our show props and costumes available for purchase if you would like to take them home. All proceeds will go towards a donation at the end of the day to a local charity. If you have any suggestions for small local charities you would like to support, please let us know. For myself, I would like to thank every single person who signed up to the programs, bought a ticket or even liked a post. RASCALS is my baby and my dream and I am so very proud of how far it, and every student who has walked through our doors, has come. On a professional note, it has come time for me to explore my capabilities as a classroom teacher and I would not be giving the program the time or love it needs to thrive should I attempt to pursue both. It breaks my heart to write this message. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you wish to chat about class options for your children or just to share some love. 15.01.2022 On this bittersweet note, it is time to draw the curtain on our Rascals Musical Society adventure. Thank you to everyone who came on Sunday, played dress-ups and took a stroll down memory lane with us. We are so proud to donate over $300 from costume proceeds to KYDS, any organisation which supports the mental health of young people.
