24.01.2022 ** Kindergarten ** Kindy's famous Snow Week celebrating the arrival of Winter.

23.01.2022 ** Kindergarten ** Over the last few weeks, Kindergarten have been building on their sustainability. We have accessed some recycled tyres and we have expressed our creativity painting them. With these tyres, we have made obstacle courses where we have had stepping tyres, building a tyre tower and climbing over it. This also helped us build on our ability to create and use new materials while developing our gross motor skills climbing over the tower. ... Other things we have done with them are sitting in the tyres and counting how many friends that can stand on one tyre at a time.

17.01.2022 ** Pre-Kindy ** Today in pre kindy we read the book Room on the broom. We all loved it so much, we decided to act out the story again with stick puppets! Children use their language to imagine and create own roles. Puppet shows offer unlimited opportunities for children to share stories and symbols of their own culture and re-enact well-known stories. 1.4.1 Show interest in other children and being part of a group

14.01.2022 ** Pre-Kindy ** "You'll come a Waltzing Matilda with me". Pre Kindy loved listening to Miss Sissel tell the story of Waltzing Matilda. We learnt new words such as 'jumbuck' and 'thoroughbred'. Miss Sissel even put on the Aboriginal version of Waltzing Matilda and we got to listen to how the Aboriginal people sing it. 5.2:2 View and listen to printed, visual and multimedia texts and respond with relevant gestures, actions, comments and/or questions

03.01.2022 ** Kindergarten ** Kindergarten has taking an exceptional liking to gardening. We have been so excited to build our own gardens in the Kindy yard. The children made their first garden and have seen how the flowers and plants grow. This has been a massive interest with all the children, wanting to check the plants, water them and see what colours the flowers are, once the buds open. The Kindergarten children made a second garden with bigger plants, the children were abl...e to explain why the plants needed dirt, and why we need to water them. We had lots of fun smelling the flowers, the sugar cane mulch, and then playing in the dirt, some of the children said "Flowers smell pretty", "it tickled my nose", "they look pretty", "there are purple, white, orange flowers and green leaves." Kindergarten are so excited to see how the flowers grow, watch this space to see how our gardens grows.
