20.01.2022 2 games 7 hours of bowls 2 shots the difference Frances Craig went back to back in the District Ladies Singles and Anthony Neven and Cohen Litfin took out the M...en’s Pairs. Frances got up 25-24 in 3 hours against Vicki Cameron while Anthony and Cohen got 4 on the last end to get over Des Cann and Troy Lorimer 19-18 over 4 hours. 2 sensational games, congratulations to all. Thanks to all the host clubs, especially Algester who hosted the semis and finals. Special thanks to Alan Baker tonights umpire, Michelle Davidson production, Mitchell Mears camera and Barry and Dot Cooke Match Committee. Just wanted to let everyone have a look at what we have been doing behind the scenes. We are using this years Div.1 pennants to get everything set up. 13.01.2022 Queensland’s Chief Health Officer (CHO) Dr Jeannette Young today announced the requirement for hotels, pubs, clubs and nightclubs to return to seated drinking a...nd dining immediately. As social distancing is a key element of the strategy to minimise community transmission, the CHO directed people be seated when attending licensed venues as it reminds them to keep their distance from others. People can still go up to a bar and buy a drink, but they must then sit at a table. They can sit at the bar if there are chairs, provided they meet patron density requirements. 05.01.2022 Rathdowney Memorial Bowls Club. MITRE 10 DAY - Friday, 4 December 2020 What a day it was. Despite the hot weather, it was filled with fun and laughter. A full green of 64 players from far and wide meant friendly but hot competition from the bowlers. Vonnie Melville and her team of "Highlanders" from McKenzie Park Bowls Club were the winners for the day.... Thanks to the hard working volunteers, a Christmas lunch was served - fit for a King. There were lots of raffles and prizes. Mitre 10 sponsored the day. Thank you very much. Photos from around the green.
