24.01.2022 Me following two Greenspeed X7 ! Grant and Mike

24.01.2022 I have Magnum BW coming soon .... http://greenspeed-trikes.com/magnum-bw.html

23.01.2022 List of simple improvements on a limited budget - please add more Tune every part, tow- in, boom length, chain length, derailier action, brakes, spokes, tire pressure, seat adjustment - verify every bolt is tightened to spec, at least tightened so it does not come loose. Bolts for swivels of course should be tightened to allow easy swivel without play. There are many bolts and screws all over the thing, you will miss some, it will be obvious on the first bumpy ride, then you... go back and tighten them again. - test ride. Repeat tuning test drive. Repeat. - clean the moving parts. you can get a fancy with an on the bike chain cleaner, or simply take it off and swish it in a bucket of solvent. - clean and coat (auto wax or silicone finish) the non-moving parts. it will not make it work better, you will feel better and perceive it works better - used oil and grease sparingly. Your choice of chain oils or waxes, your choice of bearing greases. WD-40 is not a lubricant, however anything is better than nothing at all. Later you can get oils and greases from your bike shop -if something doesn't feel right, it isn't right for you, fix or adjust it. - purchase things that will essentially make you feel safer - foot restraint systems, either clipless pedals, or for my ultra wide feet, some sort of straps. One or more rear view mirrors I don't care whatever works for you. Blinky lights and tall flags. the drivers can see you without them, don't give them any excuse. See more

18.01.2022 Greenspeed Magnums BW Greater Stability with Big Wheels Normally trikes with large rear wheels are unstable due to problems with rear wheel flex and rear end instability. Thus we have made special GS rear hubs with a much wider flange spacing than normal, which has resulted in a 26 wheel with more lateral stiffness than a 20 wheel! Plus we have increased the section size of the rear forks. Thus with the longer wheelbase, the Magnum BW is even more stable at high speed than... the Magnum SD. For people who want even larger wheels than 26, the Magnum BW frame has been built to accept a 29 inch rear wheel. Plus the rear forks are wide enough to accept a 4 inch wide tyre, and 4 wide wheels may be fitted, with 20 x 4 on the front, and 24 x 4 on the rear, for use on sand. For use on sand we recommend the use of an internally geared hub like the Nu Vinci or the Rohloff, and the frame is fitted with Rohloff OEM dropouts and extra cable guides. Big Wheel and Gearing The large 26 rear wheel of the Magnum BW has a number of advantages over the 20 of the Magnum SD. Instead of needing the special 52/42/30 crankset of the Magnum SD, the Magnum BW uses the standard Shimano Sora 50/39/30 crankset so replacements will be easy to get. Another advantage is the larger wheel lifts the rear derailleur and chain further from the ground, so that the trike is more suited to off road use. Plus, as the 26 wheel is the most common size bike wheel, there are a greater selection of tires available. Finally, the larger rear wheel just LOOKS better than having the same size wheels all round.

14.01.2022 Magnum BW with fat tyres and 12 speed pinion gear box and a 500 watt hub motor - why I hear you ask? Answer : fat tyres for all your off road riding and more suspension. 12 speed pinion - zero maintenance and and a fantastic range. ... 500 watt hub motor- again for all your off road riding. Easy to swap out the rear wheel with another rear wheel without the motor to ride road legal. Easy to swap out all fat tyres for faster road riding with standard wheels l So to summarises : the magnum BW is two trikes in one . The off road fat tyre motor e-trike for all those looking to go off the grid! We have named the Thunder from Downunder OR Also swap out the fat wheels and replace the front wheels with the standard magnum 20x 2 front wheels and the rear motor wheel with the 26 x 2 rear wheel for road and everyday riding. Both mods take the benefit of the pinion gear box . Enjoy

13.01.2022 A new magnum Bw ( fat tyres all round) fitted with a 500watt hub motor and a 12 speed pinion gear box

12.01.2022 I have new magnums BW trikes arriving soon http://greenspeed-trikes.com/magnum-xl.html

09.01.2022 Here is a link to the magnum user manual. It describes how to adjust the quick release shaft. http://www.gs-trikes.com/support/magnum-manual.html IMPORTANT! Just like the Quick Release (Q/R) axle on a bike, the Push Button Q/R axle on the trike needs to be correctly adjusted before use. Unlike the bike, there needs to be some play at the wheel, to allow the fast release, and any attempt to remove this could see the wheel come off in use. Thus the inner end of the skewer must not project from the end of the axle - see photos below. On the other hand if there is axial play on the axle, the main nut should be tightened until the play is removed.

08.01.2022 This is the WHY I do this business. A new yellow magnum fitted with a 250watt hub motor, going to its new owner Andy at Goolwa. Andy can’t drive a car anymore because off health reasons, so his trike is his independent and freedom. He was more then impressed with his Greenspeed Magnum. Enjoy!

06.01.2022 I see the light!

06.01.2022 Thanks Tall Bike Stan
