23.01.2022 Round 7 NCAA Tournament Rapti Cricket Club vs Budhanilkantha Cricket Club at Beaman Park Oval 1 Earlwood. The Rapti Cricket Club won the toss and opted to bat first at Beaman Park(Oval 1). The decision to bat first was a good decision by Captain Nirmal Oli as the weather was challenging for both teams. ... In the first inning, we lost the first wicket of Xenon in 2.4 overs and Pramesh played tremendously and built the good partnership with Ankit but we lost our second wicket of Ankit in 6.1 overs. But Arjun and Pramesh played good parternship for 3rd wicket. In response for 3rd wicket, Pramesh played immensely and scored a century(105) in just 70 balls for our team and at the same time, Arjun also played tremendously and scored 34 in 35 balls and they have scored 127 runs for 3rd wicket partnership. Eventually we lost the 3rd wicket of Arjun in 19.1 overs, Prasit and Pramesh were able to add 6 more runs in the final over. So, we were able to set the target of 178 for Budhanilkantha Cricket Club. In the second inning, boys have put their best effort to send the batsman to the pavilion. Pramesh took two early wickets of Budhanilkantha in 1st over so we were able to put more pressure on their batting line up. Budhanilkantha's opener Rochak Bhatta and Prashun Shrestha were slowly building the parternship but Bijay Thapa dismissed(run out) Prashun Shrestha in 7.4 overs, at that stage Budhanilkantha were 3/51. Rajan Chaulagain was bowled out by Sulab KC in 10.1 overs and Rochak Bhatta was dismissed(run out) by Bijaya Thapa in 16.5 overs. Finally, we were able to restrict them in 106/6 in 20 overs and Rapti won by 71 runs. And obviously the man of the match was awarded to Pramesh Giri for his outstanding performance 105(70) and 2/15. 10.01.2022 Man of the match performance by our hard hitter pramesh giri, 105 not out in 70 balls with 12 4s and 4 6s in batting and 4ovr 15runs 2 wks in bowling along with highest partnership of 127 runs between him and arjun, who scored 34 runs before being out at 19th over. We played a good game despite terrible weather. Congratulations to the whole team for their first win in the tournament. Moving on to our next game.
