14.01.2022 Ill admit it, when I first heard what was happening overseas my initial thought was Well be safe here in Australia. Then when it hit our shores and businesses were being forced to close their doors I was freaking out ... for 72 hours. BUT then I realised that panicking in a time of crisis will rob you of the lesson to avoid a crisis in the future.... So heres how Im navigating through it... I believe success starts with your thinking. I kick off my day with a healthy routine and limit how much news I watch. Staying focused on giving and doing my part. Checking in with the elderly and having my clients backs as they navigate their pivot plans. This is our opportunity to GROW personally and as entrepreneurs. Because no-one knows how strong they are until they are tested! In the middle of a crisis when people are in fear, the worst thing they can do is retreat, stick their head in the sand and wait for the next government stimulus package to be announced. The long term impacts of fear will do more damage than the crisis itself. Just look at the knock-on effects of fear based buying of toilet paper! Right now every business has an opportunity to pivot, grow and serve - YES, EVEN YOURS! Do not become the person who is riddled by fear. Its time to grow. 06.01.2022 The BIG Mistake that cost me $100k and 12 months! {Vulnerable message} My only wish is that you can learn from my mistake - so you dont have to go through the pain, frustration and arguments I went through! ... I honestly thought I could just figure it out on my own Im smart, great at my job, Ill find a way. And I did, in the beginning but my warm market dried up and my family and friends werent interested so then what? Each month I set my goals but as each month went by they felt more like fantasies! I was totally blind Unconsciously incompetent! I didnt know, what I didnt know! I wanted to show my husband I could do it without investing our holiday fund into my business... into me. I know now I was actually just SCARED What if I FAILED? Id be embarrassed and have let my family down! I let my stubbornness and pride steer the ship for over 12 months! 12 months STUCK in the hobby phases banging my head against a wall. 12 months of smiling on the outside and secretly CRYING on the inside. 12 months of EXHAUSTION trying every cheap course - you get what you pay for! 12 months of INCOME LOST I could have made in my old job. And 12 months of my husband asking me when was I finally going to get my business making money and give me more time I had created the complete opposite. WHAT I WAS DOING WASNT WORKING! So I cried & drank for 2 days I then made one very powerful decision that changed everything! I decided to back myself 100%! Be all in... time, money, energy and belief! I had that conversation with my husband and went all in - to find the plan! I let go of my ego and learnt the real skills needed to fill the gaps that I had, to set myself up strong and for the long term. Looking back now, I hardly recognise the woman I was 5 years ago . When you truly believe in yourself even if youre scared you might fail you will transform into the most powerful creation you could ever imagine.
