07.01.2022 There are many recipes going around the Internet for hand sanitiser. Some of these recipes are ineffective. I heard a doctor who specialises in viruses say that hand sanitizer needs to be at least 70% alcohol and that washing your hands properly for at least 20 seconds, preferably 30 seconds, is more effective against the virus than hand sanitiser. Hand sanitiser is only for when you can’t wash your hands or in addition to washing if you are particularly concerned.
