24.01.2022 Thought I'd put up a couple of pics of my work - large unfinished work (7 ft wide) is of Colleen Hewett -a great singer and a friend of mine and the other is a ...portrait (both in Oils on Fine Belgian Linen) of a past Art Teacher - "Danielle". I specialize in Portraiture and Figurative work and have been noted in an American publication as one of the 100 World's Best Portrait and Figurative Artists. Unfortunately if I put any of my figurative work up (very mild) on f.b. it does not get shared to my local "A Town Called Willaura" or the Victorian "Grampians Tourist" site. I have been written about in many publications (with pics), my works are in about 30 countries, and I have had an Art Gallery/Studio for over 40 years. If any one wants to see more of my work, just "google" up Laurie McMurray Artist - I am on f.b., linkedin, and have a website. I thought Art was more than just nice scenery, flowers. and abstracts (no matter how good). P.S. This post will probably not get up on those 2 sites as well. See more

20.01.2022 This is another example of things you can frame by McMurray Galleries Fine Art & Picture Framing. How about a drumstick and tickets, etc., from a live show (I'v...e done that), or an original parchment land title or an antique cross stitch sampler. How about a "Green Baggy" when you played for Australia or the Golf club that you hit a "hole in one" with. I can frame most things - sorry I can't frame your kids or wife or husband, but I have framed a lot of University Degree Certificates. See more

03.01.2022 These are 2 large pastel works on MDF board in progress. The first is called "The Quest of the Key" and the second is called "Interrupted Languor". I've just started back on the first one. I will try and post the progress.
