21.01.2022 GET TO KNOW OUR INSTRUCTORS Ashlee: Ashlee is a self-confessed yoga nerd with a deep love of animals and all things nature and new age.... She originally came to yoga in 2011 for its physical benefits but quickly fell in love with its ability to help her feel calmer and more connected. Since beginning her teaching journey in 2015, she has established a love for helping students sink into the sweetness of stillness, self-care and connection through the mediums of yin and restorative yoga and Yoga Nidra. She has a deep and unwavering love for, and commitment to, helping others slow down, go within and melt stress and self- judgement from body and soul. Ashlee is known for her non-judgemental and compassion-centred teaching style. Her yin sessions offer the opportunity to dip deeper into your true self and to make space for kindness, softness and self-awareness to blossom. Her focus is on ensuring you leave each class feeling truly nourished on all levels. Ashlee believes everyone deserves to enjoy exercise as nourishment, not punishment. To feel strong, empowered and beautiful in their skin, to feel connected, content and to know on a deep level that they are 100% enough. When shes not teaching or practicing yoga and Pilates youll find her reading, playing with her dogs or spending time with family in nature.

I am from South Korea where I spent over 4 years learning and teaching Stott Pilates, obtaining several certificates in various excercise techniques and learning the usage of multiple pilates machines. I have lived in Australia for over 2 years and am now teaching everything I have learned in this beautiful country. I continue to learn different techniques and expand my knowledge by attending one on one and group classes. I love creating new ways of exercising based on: classic pilates; using the whole body; and making people feel happier and healthier after my classes.

I wear many hats as a Yoga Teacher, Midwife and Mum of 5 children, Yoga has greatly impacted my life, and it enables me to stay grounded and calm in this crazy thing called life. I have used Yoga throughout my life and during all of my own pregnancies and have seen its benefits first hand. This is what draws me to continuing my own daily practice and continuing education. I love that Yoga is so inclusive of everyBODY and that through peaceful movement on the mat, connecting mind, body and breath can support extraordinary happiness off the mat. Mindfulness is always at the heart of my practice, cultivating an awareness of the present, allowing the mind to rest and the body to relax, and developing a greater sense of our truest self. I have studied and teach various styles of yoga which include, Hatha, Vinyassa, Restorative, Yin, Pre and postnatal and finally Yoga nidra, and love practising them all. It is my passion for you to take the yoga off the mat and take it into your everyday life, its not just about the asana (poses) its about so much more, its about rediscovering your authentic self, as we learn from the lessons of our past, and we sit in the here and now, we can cultivate space and let go of things that no longer serve us and make way for a big beautiful future. 19.01.2022 HANDWASHING 101! Did you know there is a proper science-backed way to wash your hands? This might seem obvious, but in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic, its worth a refresher in proper technique. :) Heres the how-to:... Wet your hands with clean, running water (warm or cold), turn off the tap (to save water!), and apply soap. Lather your hands by rubbing them together with the soap. Also be sure to lather the backs of your hands, between your fingers, and under your nails. Lathering well creates friction to help dislodge any stubborn microbes on your skin. Germs and microbes are found on all parts of your hand, especially under your hands. BONUS POINTS for washing up to your elbows! Scrub your hands for at LEAST 20 seconds. Washing hands for 15-30 seconds removes more germs than washing for a shorter period of time. (Fun fact: This is the same amount of time it takes to hum the Karma Chameleon chorus. Karma, karma, karma, karma, karma chameleon / You come and go, you come and go / Loving would be easy if your colors were like my dreams / Red, gold and green, red, gold and green.) Rinse your hands well under clean, running water. Dry your hands using a clean, dry towel or air dry them. Avoid air blowers because they can spread more germs not only onto your clean hands, but into the air.
