25.01.2022 Make today the day. Not tomorrow, not next week, not when this happens or that happens.....TODAY! Today start loving yourself more, respecting yourself more & valuing yourself more. Start today. Make one little change that will honour you (mind, body or soul) YOU ARE WORTH IT.

25.01.2022 Number 1 reason people give for not taking care of their health.... "I might get hit by a bus tomorrow" True, that may happen, but would you deliberately step in front of a bus? Not taking care of your health is like stepping into oncoming traffic. There are so many variables in life that we have no control over, shouldn't that make us more determined to control the things we can. ... Remember, you are worth it. See more

24.01.2022 Simple & easy first step to better health

24.01.2022 "I dont have time". I hear this from so many people. I dont have time to exercise, I dont have time to prepare healthy meals. Stating that we "dont have time" constantly will create this as a reality for us. It confirms over & over that we have a valid reason for not being able to take care of ourselves. Yes we do all have busy lives, however if we neglect our health it will become harder & harder to maintain these busy lives. Try this..... Replace "I dont have time" with "i need to find time". This starts us thinking in a more positive way. You dont even have to find the time right now, just recognise that it is important.

24.01.2022 Add a healthy diet & exercise and you'll reap the benefits

23.01.2022 Just realised I didn't post week 2 update. Week 2 I focused on some dietary changes. I do eat a very healthy diet......when it comes to meals. My downfall is snacking. CHIPS, I love them & am not adverse to a bit of choccy when watching TV of an evening. I substituted brown rice in the one usual pasta meal, cut out the evening chocolate completely & cut down my chip intake. Again 1 kg came off. Small changes will show results

21.01.2022 NB: In regards to my previous post, health is not all about weight loss. I may not of made any progress in the previous two weeks, however my soul has been lifted with the company of beautiful family, friends & neighbours. That is of cause not to say we should spend all our time socialising, we need to have a balance. TIP 2: Don't totally cut out the things you enjoy or you will become miserable.

21.01.2022 Well it has been a while since Ive posted on my page. Lots of changes in my world. Going to be more regular here now. Im going to reclaim my page & reclaim my own health & Wellbeing. Stay tuned to follow my journey

21.01.2022 Stop comparing yourself or measuring yourself against others. "I'll never be like her" or "at least I'm better then him" are not helpful. These are both negative thoughts; one says 'why bother trying', the other, 'I don't need to try'. Focus on yourself & being the healthiest YOU can be. YOU ARE WORTH IT!

15.01.2022 https://www.facebook.com/Official.Gym/videos/675732429202831/ The reality of exercise. All shapes & sizes, all ages. You don't have to 'fit' a certain look, just get out there

14.01.2022 Friday night fast food. 10 minutes from looking in the fridge to plate. No takeaway could be that fast. 2 eggs, 1/2 large zucchini grated, 1tbls chickpea flour. Cook in non stick pan. Topped with fresh salsa

10.01.2022 WATER drink more. Start first thing of a morning, before your tea, before your coffee, before your juice, before breakfast......WATER. Continue at regular intervals during the day. I don't care that it's cold......drink it anyway because you need it. Remember you are worth it!

10.01.2022 Helpful tool for self care

08.01.2022 As well as be conscious of what food we put in our bodies, we need to take notice of how the waste comes out https://www.facebook.com/TheHealthAwaren//1479771085401650

07.01.2022 Stop comparing yourself or measuring yourself against others. "Ill never be like her" or "at least Im better then him" are not helpful. These are both negative thoughts; one says why bother trying, the other, I dont need to try. Focus on yourself & being the healthiest YOU can be. YOU ARE WORTH IT!

07.01.2022 Are you ticking all the boxes? When we think about getting things done, writing 'to do' lists we often focus on a certain group of things:- Work Study Housework... Taking care of family Getting the lawn mowed .... This list can go on & on & we often feel overwhelmed & a sense of failure when we can't get all these boxes ticked. I'm giving you another sample list & I want you to think about how often you prioritise ticking these boxes:- Having a good nights sleep Eating nutritious food Relaxing Taking care of health issues Exercise Being gentle with yourself. Write your own personal lists & see how the ticks compare. We need to be ticking the boxes on both lists. Self care people, you are worth it! See more

07.01.2022 OK. here are some basics on me. I am a Diet & Nutrition Consultant, specialising in Weight Management, a Yoga Teacher & until recently ran Functional Fitness Classes for seniors & facilitated Healthy Lifestyle Programs for the Dept of Health. I'm in my 50's, I have four children & am going through menopause. My blood pressure, cholesterol & sugar levels are all good & have no health issues. I have dealt with some issues from my past & have become very happy in my life, so my... wellbeing is right up there...... however my wellbeing could change as I'm not feeling quite so comfortable in my skin. My skin is feeling a little tight these days, along with my clothes. Week 1 update tomorrow. See more

06.01.2022 3 kgs in 5 weeks. But two of those weeks were crazy. So Im going with 1kg a week

06.01.2022 Dont let others be your yardstick

06.01.2022 What is holding you back? Are their issues from your past that are unresolved? Seek help, you are worth it!

05.01.2022 Grill Chicken tenderloin with Kale & Apple Slaw. I can feel my body absorbing the nutrients.

03.01.2022 "I don't have time". I hear this from so many people. I don't have time to exercise, I don't have time to prepare healthy meals. Stating that we "don't have time" constantly will create this as a reality for us. It confirms over & over that we have a valid reason for not being able to take care of ourselves. 02.01.2022 STOP THE INTERNAL TRASH TALK! We all know the effect it has when we are subjected to negative comments & criticism. Exercise: observe how many times a day you put yourself down. Don't judge, just observe & take note. Internal dialogue has far more power then you realise.

01.01.2022 Tip 1 when doing a reboot on your health. Pick one thing to work on at a time. We can often overload ourselves with thinking it's a good idea to change everything at once. Exercise, eat healthier, stop smoking, cut down alcohol, get more sleep ..... the list can be very long. That is very hard to do, we become overwhelmed & inevitably drop the ball which results in a sense of failure. PICK ONE & make it reasonably easy to achieve. Success helps us to stay motivated. For my fi...rst week I chose exercise. Firstly chose something you enjoy. If you hate going to the gym, don't buy a gym membership thinking it will motivate you, it won't or maybe only in the short term. Secondly, don't overdo it, build up slowly so you don't get to sore or stiff. There's no de-motivator like feeling like you've been hit by a bus. I got up each morning & went for a walk. I didn't hike for miles every day, I just went for a 20 minute walk Monday-Friday. and from something as simple as that, I saw & felt results. See more
