23.01.2022 FACES OF PINJAR Did you know Pinjar Motorcycle Area is a working forestry area? This is a great example of two land uses that can coexist. Riding in monocultu...re forestry is one of the ways riders can minimise impacts both environmentally and socially. To that end the trees may be harvested periodically, and there has been some talk about that being sooner rather than later. If they do take the trees and riders are dispersed elsewhere we encourage riders to ride in Monoculture forest areas. There are a lot less enviro concerns including reduced chance of spreading Dieback - Phytophra is a soil borne fungus. Got wood? You might notice all signs are on posts so there are no nails in the wood. Any damage makes knots in the wood. So if they do harvest and riders go elsewhere try and practise Minimal impact riding wherever you may be. https://rtra.worldsecuresystems.com/What/minimal-impact
