18.01.2022 In collaboration with the community of Numbulwar, Artback NT delivered the second Numburindi Festival over three days 14th - 16th September. Held at Joshua Park..., Numbulwar Northern Territory it was a dynamic program of activity that celebrated the richness of the region. The three days had an emphasis on supporting the youth, with performances from Numbulwar School Band, a young people Wungubul and awards night. Four local clans performed - Nundhirribala, Ngalmbi, Murrugun and Nunggarrgalu with visiting group Wurramara dancers from Bickerton Island. Bands from Numbulwar - NT Express, Mambal Band and Yilila Band performed with Salt Lake Band - Enungkwerrimanja and Poison Whisky. All images taken by Benjamin Warlngundu Ellis Photography. We will be at the Makarata site from 3.30 pm for some great programs with the Crocodile Island Rangers, bungu...l dancing from Yurrwi community with special guests from Numbulwar Red Flag Dancers. Then over to the school from 9 pm for bands and dancers! Welcoming Ripple Effect from Maningrida who will be joining the bands for tonight and tomorrow! See more
