19.01.2022 This Wear it Purple Day, we're proud to introduce the Multicultural Australia LGBTIQ+ Working Group. This powerful video shares the moving and inspiring stories from our staff who have created our LGBTIQ+ Working Group to support clients, communities and colleagues on issues affecting people who identify as LGBTIQ+ and for people who are deeply allied to equality, justice and celebrating our diversity. Wear It Purple Day was established a decade ago after several rainbow youn...g people took their own lives following bullying and harassment resulting from the lack of acceptance of their sexuality or gender identity. Wear It Purple Day is celebrated every year on August 28th, 2020 to raise awareness and build a movement of inclusion. #WeAreTheChange #WearItPurple

18.01.2022 The Small Business and Social Enterprise Forum is this Wednesday! Register through the event link to get emailed the ZOOM details. The Hon Shannon Fentiman, MP, Minister for Employment and Small Business at Queensland Government will speaking. The Forum aims to discuss initiatives to address the needs of small businesses and social enterprises owned and/or run by Queenslanders from refugee and culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and will feature cultural Com...munity Leaders and local entrepreneurs sharing their start-up stories and their experiences through COVID 19. We're proud to present the forum in partnership with Queensland Program of Assistance to Survivors of Torture and Trauma and Brisbane’s Community Leaders COVID-19 Working Group.

17.01.2022 Redbank Plains Community Centre is still open with COVID safe plans in place. We ask that all visitors, volunteers and staff to not come into the centre if they show any symptoms of COVID-19 or if they have been in close contact with a known case. We encourage anyone with symptoms to get tested, see below post from Queensland Health with further information.... We hope everyone and their families stays safe and healthy throughout this time.

14.01.2022 Darling Downs & West Moreton PHN, Neami National are partnering with us at Redbank Plains Community Centre to deliver a new program to help people identify their strengths, challenges, and build an awareness of their mental and physical health. The 8-week Wellbeing Matters Men’s Group starts tomorrow at 10am, with the women’s group beginning on Wednesday at 10am.
