23.01.2022 Since we’re not back until 17 Jan, why not visit another church this Sunday? Brent and Jill try to visit a different church every summer. It keeps us aware of the broader church in our region and helps us not to forget what it’s like to be a new visitor! Ensure you check their COVID guidelines before turning up, and note that some churches may be online-only in January. Looking forward to seeing you back with Redhill Church at Lyons Corner on Sunday 17 Jan 3.30pm for worship, teaching and prayer!

11.01.2022 It started with gentleness and surrender. As far as Sunday gatherings go: while our 2020 began with a shout, our 2021 began with gentleness. Both equally strong, both equally important in equipping us to partner together in understanding and proclaiming the gospel. While we don’t know yet what 2021 will bring, our first gathering reflected the gentleness of our God. We reflected on what it means to be ‘called’, prayed for each other, and sang to God our surrender to Him. ... We go into this year strengthened by the God of all comfort, who knows our pain, who binds up the broken-hearted and sustains the humble. We respond to Your call by surrendering to You God, giving You our all, and trusting in You. Snippet: ‘I Am Yours’ by Rohan Geddes and Josh Gibbon
11.01.2022 Hearing stories, praying for each other and deeper sharing at Redhill Women Lounge Room this weekend. Thanks Rachelle for hosting, Julie and Bronte for sharing your stories and all who came and encouraged each other! #redhillwomen

10.01.2022 DEVOTIONAL: Brent continues to explore the signs of Jesus in John’s gospel. This week: John 6:16-21 with Jesus walking on the water; another sign that points us to who Jesus is. In troubled times, let’s fix our eyes on Jesus, for He is our hope! And in revealing who He is, He says Don’t be afraid! Read the passage - John 6:16-21 - on Bible Gateway here: shorturl.at/buHPR... This one’s in podcast form. Listen via http://redhill.org.au/devotionals or on your podcast app (search ‘redhill church podcast’).

07.01.2022 ONE YEAR AGO we moved the location of our Sunday gatherings to Lyons Corner! Due to COVID restrictions we haven’t met there since March. Our church has never been about a building, but we do love the memory of all the worshipping voices echoing off those walls, and the ways God used that dedicated space each week to draw us closer to Him and each other. We still can’t meet all together at Lyons Corner due to venue capacity restrictions, but we are starting to regain opportunities to connect all together again. Fortnightly Sundays we’ll meet in parks around Canberra, details advertised online and via groups.

01.01.2022 You are invited by one of Australia’s most senior Aboriginal Christian Leaders, Aunty Jean Phillips, to gather together to pray in unison to #ChangeTheHeart on the evening before January 26. Due to COVID-19, in 2021 this service is virtual and we can tune in from anywhere to this unique moment led by Aboriginal Christian Leaders simulcast on television, online, and on radio on Monday 25 Jan 7.30pm. From Common Grace: These services have been a rallying way that non-Indigen...ous peoples can come to learn and acknowledge the true history of our nation, to lament the injustices and present-day disadvantages facing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander brothers and sisters and to pray, for a nation built on truth, justice, love and hope. 01.01.2022 On Sunday we reflected on Psalm 146. What a great Psalm - look up the whole chapter in your Bible! A call to praise, and to put our trust in God alone. A reminder of the Lord as maker of all, one who executes justice, who frees, lifts up and watches over, who upholds those in need. Was great for all ages to reflect and respond through art , writing and music .
