25.01.2022 It was such a thrill to welcome these 5 ladies as our newest members of Redland Rhapsody Chorus. They started our vocal workshop in January and have stuck with us during CoVid, attending online Zoom rehearsals every week. Unfortunately we couldn’t give them our traditional welcome with big hugs all ‘round, but it was still a pleasure to sing That’s What Friends Are For for them. Welcome ladies (welcome back Marika) and we hope you spend many happy years with our chorus.

25.01.2022 #Tuesdaynightrehearsal Last night was to be our first in person rehearsal since March, but in view of the escalating situation in Victoria we decided to wait until August. So we are still Zooming. Last nights theme - Christmas in July.

25.01.2022 We were privileged to have Nicky McGrath join us for our online rehearsal last night. We learned and we laughed. Thanks Nicky for giving so freely of your time. Best wishes for the next chapter. Woohoo!

23.01.2022 Beautiful Wellington Point this morning. What a gorgeous part of the world we live in.

13.01.2022 Thanks to @Steves Rubbish Removals-Brisbane for this one - had to share:)

12.01.2022 Yesterday was the final music team meeting for 2020 (such a crazy year). Thanks to this amazing team of women (one of many of our amazing teams) who kept us going through Covid. Bring on 2021...woohoo!!

12.01.2022 Congratulations to our GEM (Go the Extra Mile) recipient for May - Dianne James. Di puts in hours and hours of work behind the scenes, assisting our members, Board and Leadership teams, our Regional Education team, as well as being a wonderful support for our Director. Di is a founding member of RRC and is a wonderful example of what it means to be part of Sweet Adelines. Well deserved Di and thank you xo

10.01.2022 Those were the days......

09.01.2022 Throwback Thursday! We may not be able to enjoy Eurovision in the same way this year but we can still reminisce.... https://youtu.be/Iua3QxRoj1I

09.01.2022 Thought for the day - cos someone needs to hear this....

08.01.2022 Look who we had visit us at our online Zoom rehearsal last night.....the lovely Linda Wareham all the way from Sydney, and no border checks needed. It was a great coaching session, really informative, interactive, challenging, and fun. Thanks Linda ....cant wait to do it again.

07.01.2022 Our GEM (Go the Extra Mile) recipient for July is Laurel Santry. Laurel is a founding member of Redland Rhapsody Chorus, and has had many roles in the chorus including Assistant Director, Section Leader, Visual Coordinator and has been a Regional representative. She has a gentle and thoughtful nature and is always available to provide invaluable support to chorus members and especially to the Director. Her favourite role is to help each member reach their fullest potential. Laurel has gone the extra mile in keeping the chorus connected during CoVid and for all of these reasons we think she is a very deserving recipient of this award. Love you Lols

07.01.2022 Congratulations to our Assistant Director, Laurel Santry for achieving the status of CERTIFIED DIRECTOR. Laurel has worked hard to complete her certification, especially with the challenges of the past year. It shows her continuing love of music, performing and dedication to helping our chorus reach its full potential. We are thrilled and very proud of our Laurel ....woohoo! <3

06.01.2022 #Tuesdaynightrehearsal - tonight we sing! Even though we are are not meeting in person, we get together on Zoom every Tuesday night:)

06.01.2022 Something special from our brothers in harmony to remind us how wonderful our world is. https://www.facebook.com/aicgold/videos/943832099374148/?vh=e&extid=6AJ9iPzMecwjW6WY

05.01.2022 It was so good to be back on the risers again (minus 1 riser with broken wheel )... AND the best part was, we had 6 visitors. Its sooo wonderful to have an audience to perform to.

05.01.2022 Look who we had the pleasure of coaching us via Zoom yesterday....yes, the amazing, bubbly, energetic and dynamic Lynne Smith, all the way from California. Oh we HAVE missed you Lynne!! Thank you sooo much for giving up so much of your Friday night. It was so much fun! Cant wait until we can see you "in the flesh"....so to speak. <3

04.01.2022 #Mondaymusings thanks to Redlands Centre for Women

04.01.2022 Our GEM (Go the Extra Mile) award recipient for this month in Denise Kolcze. Denise has a gentle spirit and thoughtful nature, she is reliable and can be called on at a moments notice. She is always enquiring after the welfare of unwell members and offering her support. Without hesitation she went about organising and making "care packages" for these members. ... Thank you for everything that you do for us Nese - a well deserved award.

03.01.2022 A pic from our rehearsal last night

02.01.2022 Congratulations to Caroline Baird - our GEM (Go the Extra Mile) recipient for August. Caroline joined our vocal workshop at the beginning of the year, and has stayed on with us even though we havent been able to get together to sing since. She has a quirky sense of humor and a willingness to participate in chorus life. She has been an enormous help to our Director in putting together our special CoVid Video Virtual Chorus recording and she has always been willing to help in any way that she can. Whilst she has only been with us a short time and is not yet a full member, she has become an important part of our chorus and we hope she is with us for years to come....congratulations Caroline! <3

02.01.2022 Our GEM (Go the Extra Mile) recipient for October is Laonie Stokman. Over the past 13 years, Laonie has played an active role on many teams, the main one being our Treasurer for the majority of that time. She is always first to arrive at rehearsal to help set up the hall ready for rehearsal. She greets everybody as they arrive each week and has been an amazing assistant to our newer members. Laonie has pretty much single handedly been our source of fundraising for 2020. Even though 2020 has not been a good year, Laonie keeps on going with her 'can do' attitude. For all of these reasons and many more, we believe she is a very deserving recipient of this award. Congratulations Laonie <3

01.01.2022 This weekend would have been Misdirections debut at our national convention. Instead the amazing regional management team came up with Unconvention, with video submissions from quartets and choruses across Australia. Lots of fun to watch:)

01.01.2022 Our last Zoom rehearsal for a couple of weeks... we hope! Back to real rehearsals for a trial run....fingers crossed.
