20.01.2022 Our Government and Leaders are to Blame... Powered by Restream https://restream.io/ How would you fix the world? Our Government and Leaders are to Blame...... Romans 13:1-7

20.01.2022 Join us at RCRC on Sunday morning for the 8.30am or the 10am service, using the following links to register. https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/15-nov-redlands-christian-r https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/15-nov-redlands-christian-r... Or you can watch on the 10am service online, either on this Facebook page or on Youtube. This week Pastor Jim de Witte will present the third session on the 'How Would You Fix the World' series, titled: Our Leaders and Government are to Blame. What is the role of government in society? This has been and remains the most fundamental question in all political discussions and debates. There is a general belief, one increasingly shared by politicians and voters, that every problem, large or small, can only be solved by the government. It seems that the government has taken the place of God in our culture. But the fact is, our government cannot save us. Only God can. If we rely on government to solve all problems, we will likely be disappointed. We cannot go on blaming the government for every problem and difficulty. While we acknowledge the government has a great responsibility in many areas, we must also acknowledge our share in the problems through our excess, neglect, and indifference. The onus is on us to have reasonable expectations and to participate in the process of elections and the like, otherwise we will get the government we deserve. The Bible also points out our responsibilities to be good citizens and obey the laws of the land. Bible Passage: Romans 13:1-7

19.01.2022 Kingdom Priorities Powered by Restream https://restream.io/ Bible Text: Luke 12:13-31... What does God want us to do with our money? That's a question you may have asked or been asked, but is it even the right question? Today Jesus tackles the question of money and wealth. As disciples of Jesus, how does He want us to think about our resources? When we have a lot, as does the man in Jesus' parable, or when we are fearful of running out of even food or clothing? These verses are perhaps some of the hardest for us in the affluent West to read and we will need to carefully examine ourselves in light of Jesus teaching.

17.01.2022 A Far Better King Powered by Restream https://restream.io/ Luke 9:1-17

17.01.2022 Join us this Sunday morning at church (register first) for the 8.30am or 10am services, or watch online at 10am on this Facebook page or on YouTube. Pastor Jim de Witte will deliver the sermon continuing in the study of Luke, pondering: The Ultimate Question. Asking and answering correctly the right questions can mean the difference between eternal life and eternal condemnation. The most important question is one Jesus asked his disciples: ‘Who do you say I am? This same ques...tion confronts us today. Who do you say He is? Is He some guy with a great message, the one that the Bible points to, with wise words? Is Jesus just a guy with some powers and rather distant? Do you know Him the way a crowd member does, or do you know Him intimately? Who is Jesus? Your answer to that question is everything. This question comes with the first time Luke records Jesus predicting his death on the cross. This was a shocking idea to the disciples because it was a symbol of great shame. It is this death that Jesus predicts for Himself, and what He calls His followers to. Answering the question of who Jesus is will lead to an uncompromising calling and commission for each follower of Jesus. How well do you understand the call and its consequences? Bible Passage: Luke 9:18-27

13.01.2022 Join us this Fathers' Day Sunday at church for the 8.30am or the 10am service (but register first), or watch the 10am service online on Facebook or YouTube. This week Pastor Jim de Witte will bring the sermon, continuing in Luke, and titled: Dads- love like God. First, to all of you fathers today: Happy Father’s Day! I trust you know what an honour and privilege it is to be a father. It’s a tremendous gift and with it, an awesome responsibility. It is the greatest opportun...ity and the greatest challenge. Ideally, a father’s love is a reflection of God’s love it’s grace-filled, merciful, forgiving, patient, kind and, most importantly, unconditional not something you earn by doing and saying the right things, but a gift that’s given freely and will never, ever be taken away. Remember one of the greatest gifts from our heavenly Father was His one and only Son (John 3:16). Just as God loves us, we as earthly fathers should love as God loves. Bible Passage: Luke 11:1-13

12.01.2022 Living In Light Of The Future Powered by Restream https://restream.io/ Bible Text: Luke 12: 35-48... How would it change your life if you knew the future? Or even if you just knew one or two key things about the future how would it change your life? One of the amazing things about being a Christian is that Jesus has told us a key even in the future. An event that we know will happen, an event that will change everything and an even that should shape our lives now. What is it? Jesus is going to return and the heavens and earth will be renewed and remade. All of Jesus people will dwell with Him forever in paradise. We are used to the idea, but it is remarkable that we know the end of history, or at least the end of the earth as we know it. But, as we shall see in our passage today, we need to be ready for this future. It will do us no good to know it is coming and not get ready. What does it mean to be ready? How can we make sure we are ready to great our glorious Saviour if He returns in our life-time?

05.01.2022 Join us at church this Sunday morning (please register first) at either the 8.30am or the 10am service, or watch the 10am service online on YouTube or this Facebook page. The sermon this week is delivered by Pastor Jim de Witte, continuing in the study of Luke: A Glimpse of Glory. The event described in the passage today is commonly called ‘The Transfiguration’. It is one of the most remarkable events of Jesus’ earthly ministry. It is one of those passages which we should alw...ays read with peculiar thankfulness. It lifts a corner of the veil which hangs over the world to come, throwing light on some of the deepest truths of our faith. We get a glimpse of the glory of Jesus Christ, giving a solid answer to the question, ‘Who is Jesus?’ There is a warning to pay close attention to what he says. These verses are meant to encourage the disciples, to persuade them to follow Jesus, to solidify their hope and settle in their hearts the necessity of his death. We, likewise, should draw the same encouragement, assurance, and hope. Bible Passage: Luke 9:28-36

03.01.2022 Join us in church (please register first) this Sunday at 8.30 am or 10am, or online at 10am on Facebook or YouTube. Pastor Jono Deenick will deliver the sermon, continuing in Luke: Growing in Faith. In our passage today we have two incredible miracles by Jesus. In one he calms a very dangerous storm instantly, with only a word. In other he overcomes a legion of demons who were destroying a mans life, with a command. Luke wants us to know that Jesus is Lord of nature and ruler of the spiritual realm. However, he also wants us to wrestle with our trust and belief in Jesus. As Jesus said to his disciples, 'where is your faith?' Luke wants us to marvel along with them at Jesus' power and consider how that should shape our lives. Bible Text: Luke 8:22-39

02.01.2022 We had a great time this week at GEMS, The Tribe and Forge! The GEMS girls were very excited - some beautiful letters arrived in the post in response to the cards they sent out two weeks ago. There were a lot of excited smiles and it was great to hear back from some of the older members in our community. There was also lots of dancing and games, and plenty of fun had by The Tribe and Forge on the green machines! Thankfully no injuries..!... Thanks everyone for a wonderful night

01.01.2022 Last night our Tribe boys invited their dads along for a Dads and Lads night. The boys and their dads enjoyed a BBQ and time around the fire as well as a LEGO Masters competition! There was some amazing teamwork and really cool creations made. It was a great night for all!
