09.02.2022 Some excitement this morning at RG when an electrical short in a light caused an evacuation of our premises. The Fire Department responded quickly. This is the first non-fire drill RG has experienced and our staff all reacted to the event in a calm and safe manner.

23.01.2022 RGs service department completed service work on one of Ergons 10Kn 3 Drum Winch skids earlier this year. The winch was originally manufactured in 2003. Fifteen years later, it has been given a new lease on life having undergone a major service that has seen some original features being replaced and repaired to overcome age-related wear and tear. The winch has also been updated with a new load monitoring system including screen and proxy switches. Tom Reilly and Wayne Featherstone from Ergon came to the RG premises to receive operator induction training on the unit and collect and transport the winch to Rockhampton where it will return to duty.

19.01.2022 The RG Flag Flies at the Big Red Bash 2018. Our Customer Support Officer, Greg Parry, and his wife have just completed two weeks touring and towing their caravan through outback Queensland and into South Australia. The highlight was attending the Big Red Bash located at the eastern base of Big Red Sand Dune 35km west of Birdsville in Queensland. It is approximately 1400km west of Brisbane and the start of the Simpson Desert. ... About 9,000 people made the journey from all parts of Australia for the outdoor music festival. With three days of music and festivities, it is known as the remotest concert venue in the world. Greg was even talked into taking part in the Guinness World Record for dancing the Nutbush with 1700 others including Nick Honey Badger Cummins. The record raised funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service. The unique landscape, venue setup, great Aussie bands, large crowd, corrugated rocky roads and dust made for an enjoyable and memorable trip.

18.01.2022 On behalf of everyone at Redmond Gary Australia, we would like to wish Nigel Hughes from Energex Fleet all the best in his retirement. Nigel has been at Energex for 30 years and was once in charge of the workshop but in more recent years has been a Technical Advisor. During this time, he has been in regular contact with Redmond Gary Australia and has been of great assistance to us: giving both positive and negative feedback about the equipment we have supplied to Energex o...ver the years. His insights and feedback have been incorporated into our designs in an effort to improve the equipments performance and ease of maintenance. Nigel has extensive experience with RG equipment and after such a long history between Energex and our company, we have always been able to count on him to pick up his phone and help out with any enquiries we have had. He has always been a tough negotiator and will always be an Energex man 100%. All the very best, Nigel. We are looking forward to you dropping in for a visit after you return from your travels to regale us with your adventures. You will no doubt make us all jealous! Keep in touch, let us know youre well and whats coming up next.

18.01.2022 Horizon Energy has ordered its first TL17M MEWP to be delivered to Karratha, Western Australia, to service a wide area. This machine was specially requested by the Horizon team at Karratha because of its enhanced specifications in comparison with previous machines supplied. This will be the third machine supplied to Horizon Energy. The first two machines were both models TF13M mounted on an MAN 44 chassis, with the first machine being delivered to Esperance in 2013 and th...e second machine delivered to Broome in 2014. From the early days of the first machine, it is interesting to see that machines were mainly colour coded being orange for LV and white for HV. You will notice the first machine delivered to Esperance is orange with orange cabinets. But the second machine delivered to Broome has an orange LV boom but white cabinets. The current machine model TL17M has a more standard colour scheme, the same as provided to all other electricity authorities in Australia. It has taken some time but the machines provided to Western Australia now have a standard colour scheme in accordance with Australian Standard AS1418.10-2011. This colour scheme is universal for the industry and as a manufacturer, it is easier to supply equipment that is the same for all customers. However, the cabinet set supplied with the new machine for Karratha has been specifically designed to meet the Horizon teams requirements. See more
