17.01.2022 Hi Red Phoenix Theatre Friends, It is with much sadness that we announce that our May 2020 production of BLUE STOCKINGS has been postponed due to the impacts of COVID-19. It is indeed a distressing time for so many companies and artists as multiple shows are cancelled or postponed and venues are closing to meet the advice of health authorities and government restrictions.... This was a difficult decision for us, however, we know it is the right thing to do to ensure we are looking after our production teams and audiences. While we plan to present BLUE STOCKINGS in May 2021, Red Phoenix Theatre will be back with a vengeance once we are through these challenging times. We will keep you posted. Stay safe and stay well. 05.01.2022 Hi Red Phoenix Theatre Friends, It is with further sadness that we announce that our October 2020 production of THE LARAMIE PROJECT has also been postponed due to the impacts of COVID-19. We have rescheduled this season until October 2021. We have, however, retained our October 2020 booking at the wonderful Holden Street Theatres. We are hoping, as we get closer to this date, that we will be able to create a Red Phoenix production which meets social distancing and theatre res...trictions as they evolve towards October. 03.01.2022 Costume Designer, Sharon Malujlo has taken on a massive challenge for our production of "Blue Stockings" which is set in Cambridge 1896. She has a massive task on her hands with 17 actors and 26 characters to dress. As you can see from the pictures, her outstanding design and dressmaking skills is going to make this production both very beautiful and faithful to this tricky period of Victorian era history.
