25.01.2022 These photographs are of a cross bred steer still on his mum and weighing 474 kg at 9 months. He's sired by a Shorthorn bull, Yamburgan Zeus M10 and he's out of a young Red Poll cow Eurimbla Topaz. Topaz was the first calf sired by Eurimbla Toby (who we sold to Judy Rand) and out of an ET bred heifer Eurimbla Autumn Leaves. Autumn Leaves was conceived in New Zealand out of Ken Elliot's Garthmyl Noosa and sired by the US bull M-M Century 21.

22.01.2022 I took these photos this morning. It began with a very thick fog (which is what Gerogery is known for) but a lovely day now. Cows are due to start calving at the beginning of August. Season is going well. The Vic border is closing tonight so applying for a permit this afternoon so we can keep managing our cattle on the Victorian side. So important we keep the coronavirus contained.

19.01.2022 You are invited to our Open Day on Wednesday 3 February. On display and for sale are approximately 20 Shorthorn & Red Poll bulls. Also on display are Red Poll cows and calves. Come & enjoy some time with friends and have a look at cattle reared under natural conditions. Light refreshments available.

15.01.2022 We had a lovely day for our beef week with beautiful weather, great bunch of visitors and cattle looking great. These photos are Red poll cows with September October calves at foot. Ian is with shorthorn breeder, Greg Schiller from culcain.

04.01.2022 The cattle loved going into this paddock today. I was thrilled too to see this pasture being trampled to make humus. I'm hoping this will have lasting benefits for our soil biology. This mob is about 140 head of mostly Red Polls. They consist of younger cattle: 1st calf heifers with Autumn heifers, 12 month old steers & heifers. They get moved daily and a day later about 60 Red Poll cows with young calves move into where they've moved out. The younger cattle need better feed so that's why they're the lead mob. Genetics, diverse pastures and healthy soils are all integral in producing the best cattle possible. Very exciting for us and the cattle.

02.01.2022 Dean Anderson from British Columbia in Canada sent us this photo this morning of cattle moving onto fresh pasture. Extraordinary! We've never seen pasture like this. Very lucky cows.
