14.01.2022 Temporary Management Arrangements for Southern Bluefin Tuna Bag Limits in the Charter Boat Fishery have come into immediate effect which now allow 1 SBT per person per trip. This is a temporary change which is current until 18 December 2021. This arrangement now raises our ability from 6 tuna per trip to 12 tuna per trip. In light of this change we will be revising the structure of our packages and how we manage our daily operations to ensure that we can effectively care for... and handle up to 12 SBT during our charters. We also need to take into account if our crews have the knowledge and ability to clean and care for the fish at the end of the charter. If they do not have the capability then we must ensure that we have procedures in place to assist as part of the package. Ultimately, we must provide the best solution to look after the fish during and after the charter. We do not foresee that there will be any significant changes and we will release new packages once finalised after the Christmas period. We are taking a few days break over the festive season being Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and then also New Years Day but otherwise we are contactable all other days during the holidays. Mark will be on the water and likely out of phone range so please call Angela on 0417 800 495 with any enquiries. We will return any messages as soon as we can. 13.01.2022 We came across the head of a Sperm Whale floating between Pondalowie Bay and Wedge Island with Great White Sharks and Southern Giant Petrels feeding on it. 09.01.2022 Week in Review Frenchwoman Alex started the day having never caught a fish before but that soon changed with a magnificent nanny which she then followed up with a seriously good gummy shark. When she sat down to take a rest she received a text to say she had been successful in attaining Australian citizenship.
