21.01.2022 So, hairdressers are still allowed to stay open and the treatment times have been extended from 30 minutes to 2 hours. Meanwhile, waxing studios and laser clinics, with average 15-30 minute treatment times, usually on areas not near the head, were shut down. All this despite the fact that many clinics are solo operators treating one client at a time, and having pre-existing hygiene protocols equal to or surpassing the recommendations for protecting against coronavirus. We wea...r gloves for all treatments, frequently wipe down surfaces with alcohol and cleaning agents, and most places have face masks too. Don't get me wrong, it's lovely to finally get my first annual leave in 23 years, even if it is without pay or the ability to travel anywhere, but I do remain confused why businesses with such hygiene-controllable environments were amongst the first to be shut down. Either let us reopen or shut everything down and let's get this virus under control, instead of dragging it out for 6 months. See more

09.01.2022 Supplier in Sydney I've been buying from for 20 years - Since Covid-19 they increased their prices on razors from $49 a box to $109 a box and alcohol wipes from $4.50 a tub to a massive $43 a tub - That's nearly a thousand percent increase. Price gouging much??? Didn't have the courage to check the prices on gloves. No wonder they shut down their Facebook page.

06.01.2022 Just an update re COVID-19. Here at Reef, I'm not going into panic mode or closing up shop for the duration. It's business as usual. There's only ever one client and myself on the premises at any given time - That's the way the place is set up. Hygiene is paramount, gloves are worn, and if you want to wear a face mask during treatment, or for me to do so as well, just let me know as dental face masks are a standard item here anyway and I have plenty.
