25.01.2022 The Loafers Artisan website was developed for a Bakery in Burswood Western Australia and is one of the most artistic and interactive websites we have completed. Check it out @ http://www.loafersartisan.com.au This website was built to display the creative and artistic side of the baking industry and contains many high quality photos of the baking process, ingredients and the final product. The design includes many transition effects to keep the audience captivated along with ...a couple comedy photographs thrown in for good measure. We are very happy with this one, very well done to Anthony and Paula from Refined IT. #perthwebsites #businesswebsite #perthbusiness #bakery #bakerylife #perth #perthfood #bakerylife #bakeryshop #perthbaker #perthbakery

Two years ago I created a website and ran SEO for a client whose business was falling to pieces due to the mining crash in WA. Last month he called through and said he has had to expand his yard and his processing warehouse plus hire more staff due to new customers coming solely from his website. Winning! :)

13.01.2022 Those of you who rely heavily on web traffic to run your business / leads, please ensure your web developers update your robot.txt files to allow crawling of Javascript and CSS files. Google Webmaster Update: Blocking JavaScript & CSS Can Affect Indexing Google has updated its Webmaster Guidelines, which will likely affect sites that are blocking JavaScript or CSS files.... According to an announcement on Googles Webmaster Central Blog, the tech giant has updated its indexing system to function more like a modern browser, which includes having CSS and JavaScript active. Google gave explicit advice on allowing Googlebot to access the JavaScript, CSS, and image files that a website uses: "This provides you optimal rendering and indexing for your site. Disallowing crawling of JavaScript or CSS files in your sites robots.txt directly harms how well our algorithms render and index your content and can result in suboptimal rankings.

12.01.2022 Hi All, I have been asked by many people, how did hackers gain access to so many celebrities iCloud photo's..? The hacker/s used a very common hacking technique called a 'Brute Force Attack'. This attack attempts combinations of passwords in rapid succession to eventually guess the correct password. ... You may think your password is not guessable right? What if the hacker created whats called a 'dictionary' of words specific to your life? Your pets names, surnames, streets, car brand or model, kids names, wife's names, parents names, birth place, your icloud email address? All this information is so easily available from your Facebook page. Please be extremely cautious about your passwords, always have a combination of symbols, capitals and numbers. If you want to check your password strength please go here: https://howsecureismypassword.net/ If your password can be cracked in under 1000 years, I would suggest changing your password to something more secure, especially if this is your iCloud password. Well you don't want your photos leaked do you?

11.01.2022 Information security is one of the most overlooked areas, when we talk about security it's not just passwords, it's ensuring your files are encrypted and your communication is also encrypted. Encryption ensures intruders can't just read your files or your emails if they plug into a wall socket in your office or get into your wifi. http://www.perthnow.com.au//71a30e2f53f8b530a08dbd2c3dd499

10.01.2022 Hi Everyone, We don't post about iPhones requiring security updates often (It's usually androids) but this ones quite important! Please ensure you update your iPhone's firmware ASAP to 9.3.5! Security concerns! ... ----- Apple's security release notes say that three bugs have been fixed, two in the iOS kernel and one in WebKit. The bugs were discovered by Citizen Lab and Lookout, which said they were actively exploited to hijack the iPhone of a political dissident. Lookout collectively calls the three zero-day vulnerabilities "Trident," and says that they could allow an victim's personal data to be accessed after opening a link sent in a text message. Trident infects a user's phone "invisibly and silently, such that victims do not know theyve been compromised." ----- Thanks, The Refined Team

07.01.2022 If your business handles confidential information such as medical, financial or legal records we cannot stress to you the importance of encrypted email accounts. They only cost around $5.90 inc GST per month from Microsoft and have 50GB of space (lots). (Around $60 inc GST per year) If you're using a generic internet provider account (Telstra, iiNet or Westnet) to communicate to and from your clients and the account is not setup with encryption you are probably breaking the l...aw in relation to the security of your clients information found in this guide at the bottom of this post. Encryption in a nut shell ensures the information that is sent between the sending and receiving parties is scrambled so if someone without the 'keys' attempts to read the information they will find it extremely difficult. Decrypting the information will most likely require the use of a super computer which not many people have access to so this removes the threat away from your standard backyard hackers. Please also remember the communication from your own website must also be encrypted if it's sensitive in nature by an SSL certificate. If you want to know more please email us at [email protected]. Don't worry your enquiry will be encrypted on our end. Guide: https://www.oaic.gov.au//guide-to-securing-personal-inform

01.01.2022 Hi All, We just had a report from a client who received a suspicious phone call from someone who could hardly speak English, requesting a quote for some products from their website.
