25.01.2022 In the news: 'Game changer' immunotherapy drugs added to PBS for mesothelioma patients. Until now, the immunotherapy drugs have been out of reach for many patients because of the huge cost, which can add up to more than $130,000 per year. However, from next month Opdivo and Yervoy, will be added to the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) to include treatment for inoperable or unresectable malignant mesothelioma.

19.01.2022 In the news: A waste dump that became so choked with rubbish it was declared a "catastrophic fire risk" is now halfway to being cleared as tough new "waste crime" laws give authorities extra powers. The contractor cleaning up the waste initially wanted to establish a recycling centre at the site but the amount of #asbestos meant all the waste had to be transported to landfill.
