Weather Situation A ridge of high pressure over central Australia and a strengthening ridge over the Queensland coast will maintain hot, dry and windy conditions across northern NT. For Thursday 27 August: Catastrophic Fire Danger is forecast for the following fire forecast area: Darwin and Adelaide River Severe Fire Danger is forecast for the following fire forecast areas: Carpentaria, Gregory, Northern Fire Protection Area, Daly South, Arnhem West and Katherine Fire Protection Area The Fire Weather Warning for the Tiwi forecast district has been cancelled. Bushfires NT and NT Fire and Rescue Service advise you to: Action your Bushfire Survival Plan now.
