18.01.2022 Today was the last day of term 1 for our school students. All of our programs under the AHC32816 Certificate III in Rural Operations or AHC30116 Certificate III in Agriculture qualification have been busy with workshops and others enrolling new students. Most regional groups in the Primary Production Program have completed their WHS workshop. Some of our groups have completed their Chemical Accreditation and Working at Heights and Confined Spaces (WAHCS) workshops and shortl...y other groups will follow. Our Chainsaw workshops will commence after seeding. Some Ticketing and Licencing students have completed their First Aid, WAHCS, Chemical Accreditation workshops plus open learning and Machinery Operation assessments. Next term other regions will start to have Chainsaw, Forklift, First Aid and WAHCS workshops. Our Animal Care and Husbandry students have had a very busy start to the year with most workshops being weekly and some fortnightly. The first few workshops were WHS, Dog Obedience, Pet First Aid and Dog Grooming and recently a trip to Ambersun Alpacas in Mount Compass for the Reproduction and Rearing Young practical assessment. Students from one of the Urrbrae groups were lucky enough to witness a cria being born. RST look forward to seeing our students at the upcoming workshops and wish our farming students all the best for seeding time.
