07.01.2022 In August, Regional Voices revisits an interview with Charles Armstrong, farmer and Chair of Farmsafe Australia, about the perils of quadbikes on farms and why #safety needs to come before convenience. After being directly impacted by an on-farm accident Charles has spent 15 years campaigning for #quadbike safety. 07.01.2022 In 2018, the Rural Financial Counselling Service of WA received a grant from the WA State Government to extend #financialcounselling to small #regionalbusinesses. It was recognition that when conditions are tough for farmers and they tighten their belts - the local business community also suffers. The grant has been very successful and small businesses now make up 17% of the RFCSWAs clients. Many of these businesses wouldnt have previously had access to financial counselling, so this has become a pivotal service to help keep #regionalcommunities vibrant and healthy.
