25.01.2022 A type of thyroid cancer has been reclassified as non-cancerous meaning that thousands of patients will be spared unnecessary treament. It is also hoped that this change may lead to the reclassification of other cancers in the breast and prostate.

24.01.2022 Melbourne researchers, including Register4 researcher Professor John Hopper, have discovered a new way to interpret mammograms which makes it possible to predict with 30% more accuracy which women will develop breast cancer in the future. 01.01.2022 We are looking for volunteers to take part in the Investigating the Prevention of Endometrial Cancer with Metformin (PECAM Study). Tamoxifen is an extremely effective treatment for women who have hormone receptive breast cancer. However, Tamoxifen is associated with changes in the lining of the uterus (which is called the endometrium). There is an increased risk for women on Tamoxifen to develop endometrial polyps and thickening of the endometrium and in some cases, endometrial cancer.
