22.01.2022 I just finished researching this wonderful house at Fairfield and it was so fascinating! It was built in 1928 by Katherina Wellauer as an investment property. T...he land was originally part of a huge farm holding owned by Katherina's parents-in-law, Julius and Annie Wellauer. Their house, the spectacular "Edelweiss", still survives across the road. I learnt all about their family and the subdivision of the farm into the "Wellauer Heights Estate" as part of my research. Members of my client's family have lived at the house since the early 1940s so I also included many of their stories and photos in the book.
