25.01.2022 "Mepeed" is a tradition like a parade followed by #Balinese women carrying "Gebogan". A series of fruits and a variety of traditional Balinese snacks, as high as 1 meter that are taken on foot from Banjar to Pura Kahyangan Desa. A ceremony to honour the gods! #Bali #Paradise #tradition

23.01.2022 Gratitude its GRATE to be FUL of it! As the Buddha once said with our thoughts we make the world. Unfortunately for us, we have tricky brains that often gravitate toward what we dont have or how things should be. These ways of thinking can lead to feelings of envy, sadness or frustration. Whats more, it is easy for us to stop appreciating what we do have, because the pleasure neurotransmitter in our brains (dopamine) responds to novelty and tends to react less as thi...ngs become less novel. So if we are not wired to appreciate, then how do we cultivate gratitude? https://rehabbali.com/gratitude-its-grate-to-be-ful-of-it/

16.01.2022 Bali Beginnings would like to thank anyone and everyone who donated to the "Not Dead Yet Bucket List" for Pete Felton - a last trip before he sadly gets too ill to travel His wife mentioned she most enjoyed Bali out of the whole trip, that doesnt suprise us! It was a pleasure to put you up Pete and an honour to have you with us. He is back safe now in cold old England remembering all the fun they had and raising yet more money, this time to help other kids with cancer fulfil... some dreams. Here is a picture of him with one of our directors at the fundraising do "Pete Fest". It is strange to think if they werent both #addicts, they would not have met and you would not have enriched all our lives... ndybucketlist #F##KCancer #PeteFelton #Addict

15.01.2022 A lot of people believe staying sober over the festive season can be difficult and it can be, particularly if you are new to it. However by far the largest relapse period is in January, once everyone relaxes after the holiday and new year period. Do not let your guard down, your life may depend upon it. Your happiness certainly will. Here are some tips, many of which are just as apt today as they were on the 15th of December... Stay safe, #sober, #clean and do what you have to do to keep it that way :) https://snip.ly/4ijto9

15.01.2022 Happy New Year from all the BB team :) Is 2020 going to be your year?

15.01.2022 What is so often the case when trying to help others...you get back so much more than you ever expect.. We offered to help Pete and his wife with their plans to travel the world before he dies, after all if we cant help an addict with one leg and terminal cancer, who else can you help? What we didnt expect was to get to spend so much time (before his trip and now) with such a fantastic man and his amazing wife. Inspiring, humbling, grounding are just a few of the words we co...uld think when meeting this energetic, enthusiastic and happy man facing the hardest of difficulties with the biggest of smiles. If anyone is able to help donate further to their cause, a bucket list to do as much as possible before the end, please follow the link and donate anything you can https://www.justgiving.com//petefeltonsnotdeadyetbucketlist Pete and Hollie, you are both amazing!

14.01.2022 A message from one of our directors, congratulations on your 8 years sober...even if it is bitter sweet. As he says, if you need help please reach out for it, we are not the only option but one of many...

03.01.2022 It is with great sadness that we inform, Pete lost his battle with cancer last night, surrounded by his family. We were very grateful to have him come and enrich our lives at the centre and talk about his experiences not just staying clean, but living with a terminal illness. He managed to stay away from the substances that brought him to his knees throughout it all.... When he got cancer he stayed clean. When his leg got amputated to stop the spread, he stayed clean. When his cancer returned, he stayed clean. When he was told he was terminal he stayed clean. Above all else, he kept smiling and was a true inspiration to us all. We will miss you brother x.
