25.01.2022 Good news about our teacher...

24.01.2022 I was supposed to fly out on Friday morning to Canberra to teach a Reiki II seminar (Fri night, all day Saturday and Sunday). Unfortunately, even though I made it to the airport early, and we were all hopeful, four hours later Qantas and Tiger Air both admitted to the several hundred people waiting to fly, that planes were completely unable to get in or out in the foreseeable future because of smoke and extremely low visibility. Sadly, I had to postpone our seminar. My local ...co-ordinator in Canberra and myself went into overdrive to try and let everyone involved know - 12 students and about 20 helpers and reviewers... While everyone was disappointed, the news was taken well. This morning I made a very short video to share with our Canberra facebook page - they are going ahead today with a great light lunch and group Reiki. What a lovely way to do something positive. Ive also asked that level IIs continue with absent healing for our country. Wherever you are this weekend in the Coffs area, I hope you are safe and well.

24.01.2022 What lies ahead... -

23.01.2022 From our teacher, who also runs a professional practice: There is something beautiful about Reiki-ing a woman in the latter stages of pregnancy. There is an awa...reness of two - not yet separate, but distinct souls. The baby responds to the hands, wriggles to be near and kicks. Then the peace of stillness as both mum and bub simply "be". The wonder of it never dies... never diminishes... Its such a privilege to work as a practitioner. See more

23.01.2022 Rev. Beth Gray started teaching Reiki in Australia in 1983. Before then, she was actively teaching in the U.S. By the time she retired, she had trained over 20,...000 people in Reiki, both in Australia and her homeland. She worked closely with Hawayo Takata before her retirement, sponsoring many of Takatas Reiki classes. She also opened the first mainland U.S.A. Reiki clinic offering treatments. An amazing teacher, dedicated and dynamic. See more

22.01.2022 Many years ago, our teacher was doing voiceover work. She also conducted guided meditations at retreats and conferences. She was often asked when she would do recordings of her meditations and make them available. Well. keep an eye on this space...

21.01.2022 A video from Sue to Usui Reiki Network members

21.01.2022 This year has been challenging - a year of change, and of growth. It's also been a year of loss. For several of my friends, and myself included, there have been bereavements. On Christmas Eve, I find myself thinking of those who have gone, and hoping they knew how much they were loved. Tomorrow, I will raise a glass to those friends and family who are no longer "on the planet", and also to those who are, but where we can't see each other because of border restrictions/COVID issues. To all of you, I wish a close to 2020 that is peaceful and meaningful, and a 2021 that is promising and uplifting. With love and blessings to all, Sue

20.01.2022 Phyllis Furomoto, granddaughter of Hawayo Takata, has passed away in the U.S. on the morning of March 31st. She was surrounded by family, friends, and students.... Her partner, Joyce, held her as she transitioned peacefully. Sincere condolences to all who feel her loss. May her journey forward be one of joy. See more

19.01.2022 Sues "chat" with our Melbourne branch...

19.01.2022 Just one of several videos that we will post to provide information about traditional Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki as taught within the Usui Reiki Network. Stay tuned for episode 2, due to be posted at the end of this month.

17.01.2022 A beautiful morning in Coffs Harbour. Today I will be in the car for a couple of hours with my husband doing the driving. A great opportunity for me to do some hands-on Reiki for myself!

16.01.2022 A little something thats cheerful (but effective!)

15.01.2022 Sue's "chat" with our Melbourne branch...

13.01.2022 While Coffs Harbour is not in direct danger, the smoke haze and red glow shows how awful the fires are across NSW. Please, if you are a Reiki II, send energy to the situation of the bushfires, to those who are working tirelessly to halt them, those who are preparing/defending their properties/livestock, and all the poor native fauna and flora who are suffering fear/injury because of the fires. While fires are natural, the number of fires at this time is extremely unusual and incredibly saddening. There is a savage beauty in the destruction, and there will be a life-affirmed recovery, but the situation as of this moment is dire and the immediate after-effects will be dreadful. If you can help with Reiki II, please do.

11.01.2022 Our teacher lives in Coffs, but teaches Professional Practice via distance education. While Reiki itself needs to be learnt in person, the legal requirements and practice administration skills needed to be a practitioner can definitely be learnt via distance education.

11.01.2022 Our teacher has just completed a blog. Why not check it out... http://reikieducationservices.com/blog/

10.01.2022 While there are some "quacks" out there, the majority of your CAM healthcare workers are well educated and provide good care to people who either want to prevent poor health outcomes, or care for people who are already experiencing health challenges. Please use the link and sign the petition - this is about freedom of choice.

08.01.2022 Ive just returned from an amazing Reiki I in Canberra. Incredible energy and wonderful people...

08.01.2022 Our teacher also works in theatre and has found Reiki a huge benefit in terms of pre-show nerves - there are certain hand positions that help with calming and centre-ing. She reveals which ones on the first night of Reiki I! Maybe well see you there...

07.01.2022 Some thoughts from our teacher on the tragedy of the New Zealand massacre... I am thinking of two precepts/ideals, where Usui said we should try, just for tod...ay, not to anger. That we should try, just for today, to be kind to every living thing. It is enormously difficult for humans not to feel dismay, shock, and anger over the killings in New Zealand. One has to wonder if the perpetrators might have been different in their behaviours if theyd experienced real care and inclusive love and actions in their lives. Today I will take time to send Reiki to those who have been directly affected by the shootings - the victims, their immediate circle of family/friends - and I will also send to the perpetrators. If I am to live by the precepts, then I must be able to show compassion to every living thing, including those people who seem to deserve it the least. These are often the very people who need it the most... See more

07.01.2022 Sincere thanks to all who have been sending energy and love to this region. Also to every firefighter, from wherever you came, to support us. Things are improving here, but I am so aware that we are not out of the woods yet. I will now be focussing on areas under greater threat than here, and urge others to do the same. Again, very warm gratitude is coming your way.

06.01.2022 Our teacher, Sue, likes Zoom because she can still do Reiki "things" that don't have in-person requirements. Seminars may be off the agenda for now due to COVID, but that doesn't mean we can't use our Reiki to help others, or our furry friends.

06.01.2022 Our teacher, Sue Lake-Harris, is committed to using Reiki on herself every day... Heres why.

06.01.2022 A little something that's cheerful (but effective!)

06.01.2022 Sharing this post from the Canberra branch of the Usui Reiki Network...

05.01.2022 Happy Valentines Day from our teacher...

05.01.2022 Our teacher is back in Coffs after her Canberra weekend - this photo is with some amazing helpers.

04.01.2022 Reiki is wonderful for enhancing healing, but even without Reiki, our bodies do a pretty good job at fighting off infections. Why not learn more about how our bodies work? It's free!

04.01.2022 Welcome to the Coffs Harbour branch of the Usui Reiki Network. You can read about the Network by clicking on "About". Reiki seminars will commence in Coffs Harbour this year, bringing with them the traditions of nearly 40 years of practice and learning in Australia. Feel free to use the e-mail button and send a message to our teacher, Sue, with any questions you might have.

02.01.2022 While we look for an appropriate venue in Coffs Harbour to host Reiki 1, perhaps youd like a weekend away as an alternative... Same teacher, different location!

02.01.2022 Today is Beth Grays 100th birthday - the Network honours her as our founding teacher. Beth believed teaching Reiki was a privilege, and constantly reminded stu...dents to "trust", to "keep it simple, sweetheart", and "if in doubt, cover it!" An amazing woman and still missed by those who knew her... Thank you, Beth. See more

01.01.2022 Sue Lake-Harris, the Networks teacher in Coffs Harbour, will likely be running a Reiki I seminar soon - read on so you can register your interest and receive information as soon as it comes to hand.

01.01.2022 Our teacher has just returned to Coffs after a weekend of teaching Reiki II in Canberra. Here is what one graduate had to say...

01.01.2022 What is Reiki? Just magical... Our teacher is also a practitioner and is taking treatment bookings. Send an e-mail to learn more... [email protected]
