25.01.2022 It's been a while since I posted, but as I've been busy sorting my book and attending a conference in the US, I hope I am forgiven! Last seminar for the year is coming up in Canberra very soon. Warm wishes and blessings to you all.

23.01.2022 I've just finished my second session with my beta-testers for the Animals and Reiki course that's in development. Sooo good to talk through some issues, and to be able to suggest positive approaches for helping our furry-family members. I'm really looking forward to hearing how things go over the next fortnight!

21.01.2022 Sue is running an incredible Reiki Transformation Weekend in August of next year. It will be a residential, fully immersive, Reiki 1 seminar. Be supported all the way, not only by the teacher, but by past graduates who wish to share this experience with you. Perhaps this seminar, as a residential, is exactly the right kind of seminar for you to take your first steps on a traditional Reiki journey... Arrive Thursday evening. Meet all the participants and helpers, enjoy a wonde...rful meal and a meditation. On Friday, start the day with a meditation, then the first part of Reiki 1. In the evening, have a fun meal with past graduates. While doing some self-treatment, enjoy a presentation. Then off to bed. Begin Day 2 with a meditation, then a full day of learning and practice with a "secret mission" that evening after dinner. Day 3 again starts with a meditation and is followed with the remainder of the Reiki 1 class. Dinner that evening is a graduation celebration with Certificate presentations and group Reiki with past graduates. There will also be a special activity that everyone will participate in. Day 4, everyone enjoys breakfast together, a meditation, and closes the event with group Reiki before departing for home. Do you want that kind of experience when learning Reiki 1? A completely immersive opportunity away from distractions and fully supported? Most retreats or residential weekends are very expensive - $200 per day (and sometimes more), WITHOUT accommodation and meals, and extra fees on top for some activities. This one has been kept accessible - you get your accommodation (single rooms with ensuite), all meals (dietary needs can be accommodated), morning and afternoon teas, AND your Reiki 1 fee all included. Places are limited, and enrolments will be restricted to ACT and NSW residents - while it's hoped we no longer have to worry about borders by August of next year, we can't be sure... Sorry to people in other states. And yes, the class/residential and associated events will be handled within whatever restrictions are in place at the time, if any. 19.01.2022 Whatever your belief system (or even none), I love what Christ represented - peace on earth - and don't we need more of that! I also loved his two main messages - to love ourselves (if you translate from the original text, it actually means to treat ourselves AS IF we love ourselves), and to love others (again, if translated correctly, to act as if we love others EVEN IF WE DON'T). This is the essence of compassion, which is a central philosophical aspect of traditional Reiki. Many blessings are wished to you this Christmas.

12.01.2022 A long time ago, Sue was asked to write a course to help people who wanted to use traditional Reiki in professional practice. The object of the course was for participants to learn about the small business requirements, the admin, the informed consent and confidentiality/privacy legislation, even tax! Some people who were thinking about becoming professional practitioners wanted to know what it was like to be in professional practice - what the requirements were, the potentia...l pitfalls, the hard and easy aspects of being a professional. They didn't want a course - they hadn't quite got to that point - they wanted to know what might be ahead of them IF they decided to go ahead. They wanted Sue to write a book about it. She listened, and is about three-quarters into a book that's all about professional practice in Reiki in Australia - her experiences; what you, legally, can and can't do and say. What you need to consider when setting up a practice, your essentials and your nice-to-haves, as well as what you should avoid and why. This book isn't about the history of Reiki, it's not about teaching Reiki, it's not about Reiki techniques. It's about running a practice, the practical aspects, the legal issues, managing your clients, promotions...- in short, if you're thinking about going into practice, you need this book (and if you're already in practice, you just might find out if there are gaps in how your practice operates). She hopes to have it published late November, but if not then, certainly early in 2021. Sue remembers what it was like starting out in 1998 and really wishes someone had written this book so she could've used it herself! I'm... supporting an Aussie small business, and as soon as I have the copies on the way, I'll start promoting.
