05.05.2022 The existing design for German Butchery was put together quickly some time ago, and since then competitive brands have upped their packaging, so the time was right for them to update, giving the new look a modern, easy to navigate approach that has the flexibility to be adapted to new product opportunities. Additionally, the new look has given the brand added credibility which has allowed new retailers to come on board.

03.04.2022 When launching a new food product, the first and most crucial step is to gain an in-depth understanding of your customer. You need to know their likes, dislikes, aspirations, challenges, and demographics. Ask yourself: Who will be buying your product. What are their likes and dislikes? ... On what occasion are they most likely to buy your offering, and how will they use it? What is likely to appeal most to the sort of person who will purchase your product? Is it the ingredients you use, the production process, or the product's origin? (It could even be the price or the ethos behind your brand.) Once you have a thorough understanding of your ideal customer, you’ll find it easier to create the appropriate packaging and branding to appeal to them.

Brands can change the quality perceptions of frozen food and make it a destination by bringing premium tastes and experiences from other categories and executing them in a way that maximises the benefits of frozen. itsu have brought their premium aspirational brand into frozen, allowing consumers to replicate the restaurant experience at home.

With online purchasing going through the roof in the last 12-18months, and with the popularity it’s likely to increase, brands are having to pay a bit more attention to the secondary packaging such as the opening and the unboxing and the experience you get from that. Apple have been doing it so well for such a long time.
